These may be the worst ever. But according to Hint Fashion Magazine, unisex is in. While that should be no surprise, the latest gender blending fashions are over the top. And top designers, like Vivienne Westwood, a designer of clothes for the punk-rebel-dandy look, have been pushing women in men’s garb, and now, the opposite. “If cross-dressing was a taboo, they were there to break it,” wrote Chris Nelson in an article for the magazine.
“When we started to do punk,” said Westwood, “we put all of these things together to create the look of an urban guerrilla — a rebel.” It was a creation that evolved through our shop. I think it was the first time people saw clothes like ours.”
Now others have picked up the theme. Selfridges, clothing retailer in London is launching floor space for something called “Agender” in which it is replacing its distinct men’s and women’s departments with three floors of unisex clothing, beauty and accessories. It won’t even have male and female mannequins.
Jonathan Anderson, another London designer has been a strong force for gender-blending for several years now. His radical flouncy mini-skirt for men made its debut on the runway. He’s now at the helm of LVMH’s Spanish label Loewe.
And then there’s Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford who have introduced unisex cosmetics so that men will “be able to openly peruse and purchase make-up without embarrassment or ridicule.
But it’s not just London. Brooklyn, NY has its own sexless label, Hood by Air, which, along with a host of other labels like Jean Pual Gaultier, Acne Studios, Gareth Pugh, Rad Hourani and Underground has been pushing genderless dressing.

Yes, We are living in the last minutes of earth’s history… study His Word. Do not believe man made doctrines. This will be your safeguard.
