Pope Francis Approves Saints John Paul II and John XXIII

Monday July 15th, 2013
Print This Post Print This Post

Keeping the pace of his predecessor Benedict XVI, Pope Francis has approved the sainthood of John Paul II merely eight years after his death. The lightning fast canonization of John Paul II, by Vatican standards was faster than any other person in the modern era.

Francis also approved the sainthood of John XXIII, the pope of Vatican II. John XXIII is the pope most compared to Francis. He even pushed aside the requirement for a second confirmed miracle attributed to the dead pope who cannot see or hear, according to the Bible.

According to Vatican protocol, the pope is permitted to skip the second confirmed miracle if he believes the individual deserves to be made a saint based on his own merit. Popes can even declare a saint based on popular acclamation, which reveals the real reason behind the sainthood process – influence with the people.

Of course, miracles can happen, even if they are in the service of Rome or the “dragon” who is behind Rome, as declared by the book of Revelation.

To Roman Catholics, saints are to be worshiped and venerated. This is in violation of the first commandment of the Decalogue that says, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

“The worship of images and relics, the invocation of saints, and the exaltation of the pope are devices of Satan to attract the minds of the people from God and from His Son. To accomplish their ruin, he endeavors to turn their attention from Him through whom alone they can find salvation. He will direct them to any object that can be substituted for the One who has said: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28. The Great Controversy, pages 568 and 569
