Boris Johnson, former mayor of London says that the European Union is trying to create a powerful superstate, similar to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, but using “different methods,” but they share the aim of unifying Europe under one “authority.” He says the EU’s “disastrous” failures have fuelled tensions between member states and allowed Germany to grow in power, “take over” the Italian economy and “destroy” Greece. Johnson has been urging that the citizens of Britain vote to leave the European Union. Napoleon, Hitler, various people tried this out, and it ends tragically, he said.
The former mayor of London, who is a keen classical scholar, argues that the past 2,000 years of European history have been characterized by repeated attempts to unify Europe under a single government in order to recover the continent’s lost “golden age” under the Romans. Without saying it, Johnson is referring the Holy Roman Empire under the Catholic Church. Charlemagne, who united the currency, the military and the religion under the Roman Catholic Church, established the first European union called the Holy Roman Empire. It resulted in a lot of bloodshed, particularly of souls faithful to the Bible, but also in the wars of religion.
Johnson is urging the British people to be “the heroes of Europe” again, set the country free and save the EU from itself by voting to leave in the referendum on June 23. That’s actually what Luther, and other reformers did. Also Henry VIII separated Britain from the Catholic Church and its control for his own reasons giving rise to the Reformation in Britain.
The contest over the “Brexit” is close. And the political elites want Britain to remain in the EU. So, the leaders of all the main political parties put aside their differences for an unprecedented effort to convince British voters in favor of continuing EU membership.
David Cameron, the British Prime Minister said. “I am absolutely convinced that our economic security will be better if we stay in a reformed European Union and it will be seriously at risk if we were to leave.” He said a vote to leave would deliver an “immediate and sustained hit” to the economy that could tip Britain back into recession. “If we vote to leave on June 23 we will be voting for higher prices, we will be voting for fewer jobs, we will be voting for lower growth, we will be voting potentially for a recession. That is the last thing our economy needs.” Cameron is escalating its warnings of the economic costs if the nation votes for a Brexit by a series of interventions.
But scare tactics do not cow Johnson. He and others counter, pointing to what used to be the great Italian motor-manufacturing power – pointing out that it was destroyed by the euro. “The euro has become a means by which superior German productivity is able to gain an absolutely unbeatable advantage over the whole eurozone.” He said the EU is “fundamentally undemocratic” and was “operating by stealth,” and taking away the “powers and prerogatives of the people of this country.”
UKIP MEP Gerard Batton argued for Brexit and said that Hitler had drawn up plans for a “harmonized currency” like the EU already has. “If this all sounds all very familiar it is because the basic plan for the European Economic Community of 1942 (under Hitler) was very similar to the actual European Economic Community that came into existence in 1957 under the Treaty of Rome.”
“Hitler and Napoleon tried to create a single European power… by force, but the EU is trying to do it by stealth,” said Conservative Leave campaigner Jacob Rees-Mogg.
In spite of Mr. Johnson’s references to Hitler and Napoleon, the real reason behind the EU is that Rome is attempting to regain its power over the old world as well a global power. The EU is a regional government leading to a world government that will have religious laws, and enforcement penalties.

Thursday June 30th, 2016 at 10:58 PMIt seems that Brexit has dealt a sharp blow to the EU’s dream of uniting Europe as a superstate and more European states are considering following Britain’s example.
Daniel 2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.
Once again Bible prophecy has been fulfilled.
