“Austrians should have the constitutional right to use cash to protect their privacy,” said Deputy Economy Minister Harald Mahrer. “We don’t want someone to be able to track digitally what we buy, eat and drink, what books we read and what movies we watch,” Mahrer continued.
The European Union is considering restricting the use of banknotes and coins and asked the European Commission to “explore the need for appropriate restrictions on cash payments exceeding certain thresholds and to engage with the European Central Bank to consider appropriate measures regarding high denomination notes, in particular the 500-euro note” by May 1.
Mahrer was speaking on Austrian public radio to defend the use of cash. “We will fight everywhere against rules” including caps on cash purchases,” he added.
EU finance ministers vowed at a meeting in Brussels to crack down on “illicit cash movements.”

Tuesday February 23rd, 2016 at 07:55 AMObviously the end of times is fast approaching & we greet that with jubilant heart.
Other than having a close relationship with Christ what should we be doing in preparation?
I have enough land in north central Florida to plant a garden and 25+ fruit trees, is this enough? Should I sell & purchase land in the mountains? If not now, WHEN?
None, NONE, of our leaders are addressing this issue and among us followers it is a constant subject of conversation.
I am not an alarmist but it seems to me that the issue is being swept under the table by our ministers.
