At least five federal agencies are weighing whether to withhold funds from North Carolina in response to a new law designed to protect the religious convictions of its citizens. They are Education, Transportation, Labor, Housing and Urban Development and Health and Human Services. The Obama Administration decided to scrutinize its relationship to North Carolina, which could have major implications for the state.
Governor Pat McCrory signed the legislation, which pro-gay activists say blocks protections for gay, lesbians and bisexuals and prohibits transgender individuals from using bathrooms that are not the aligned ones with their biological gender.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that the White House has a responsibility to ensure that “individual Americans are not discriminated against because of who they love.”
“I can just say that, more generally, this administration is committed to defending and even promoting the equal rights of all Americans, including LGBT Americans,” he added.
“Several corporate leaders, as well as senior administration officials and civil rights activists, have criticized the law, which was passed in response to a Charlotte ordinance that would have allowed transgender people to use restrooms that corresponded with their chosen gender identity.”
“It’s shameful the Obama administration would consider using North Carolina children and families as pawns on a political chessboard in an attempt to advance their radical political agenda to eliminate sex-specific bathrooms and locker rooms in schools,” said Ricky Diaz, a spokesman for McCrory’s reelection campaign.
North Carolina receives $1 billion a year from the transportation and more than $4 billion a year from the Education Department.
The absurd regulations of anti-discrimination laws in the United States reveal the lengths to which pro-gay activists will go to force their views on society, even abridging religious freedom protections in the name of protecting their class. Gay rights now supersede religious freedom.
“But before they lay down, the men of the city, [even] the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter…” Genesis 19:4

Monday April 11th, 2016 at 11:19 AMHow long will it be before the other extreme begins to take a more definitive shape? When American Christians begin to push back and demand legislation to secure their rights to worship as they choose? At that time, Sunday legislation will come to the forefront of the debate, just as the pope requested last June, and persecution will intensify for those who keep the Sabbath of the Lord. Until then, we have a work to do so let’s get ready.

Monday April 11th, 2016 at 04:19 PMThose federal agencies need to be reminded that America is a “free” society and the interests of one group cannot be forced on another. Christians have a right to be who they really are and homosexuality is a biblical abomination. They believe God resides in them. So let them be who they are and not force them to participate in or contribute to something that violates their faith. It’s that simple.
