“The powerful of the earth should, ‘Listen to Papa Francisco, and end the corruption,’” said Paul David Hewson. Known by the stage name “Bono,” and lead singer of the Irish band U2, Hewson invoked Pope Francis in a video message broadcast in Milan during the launch of the Terra e Cibo (land and food) campaign “for a world without hunger.” Roman Catholic Cardinal Peter Turkson, president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, launched campaign at the Milan Expo on May 28 during which the video was shown.
Bono said that world hunger can end, “if we are together, united as one world, one human family, left and right, rich and poor, together all people, all religions, to work on this goal: one human family, with food for all.”
Bono affirmed his commitment to work with the Pope to address poverty, indifference and hunger when he said: “Pope Francis, and his solidarity with the most vulnerable, has inspired me and many others, beyond words, beyond the music, and we want to work with him in this effort. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves; I’m ready to walk; I’m ready to face the structures of poverty and indifference that trap the poor in misery, injustice, and hunger.”
Pope Francis is so popular that he is a sort-of “rock star” himself. With men like Hewson uniting with him, it will be a powerful encouragement to many to support papal projects and increase the power of the Papacy with world leaders, which Hewson calls the “powerful for the earth.”

Wednesday June 10th, 2015 at 02:49 PMTranslation from French: If Bono wants to be like the pope said, he should already begin by sharing the money he has in several tax havens. He must not only talk about it, but must also set an example.

Thursday June 25th, 2015 at 10:15 AMMy message to anyone that has U2 CDs/MP3s/Videos (even U2 posters) in their home is to get rid of them now – and that anything to do with U2 and/or “Bono” poses a serious threat to our essential personal walk with Christ, and therefore needs to be tipped out of the house and should be edited out of our lives completely (Romans Chapter 16)! In my opinion, “Bono” is not saved and does not have the Holy Spirit any more than Kenneth Copeland does, so what “Bono” says in his latest act of wondering after the Beast is not a real shock or surprise.
