Pope Francis Opens Year of Jubilee

Friday December 11th, 2015
Print This Post Print This Post

Pope Francis opened the Holy Door of Jubilee at St. Peter’s Basilica on December 8 after holding a Mass, and called the faithful to pass through the door in order to rediscover God’s mercy. The pope had declared an Extraordinary Holy Year, a Jubilee of Mercy from December 8 through November 20, 2016. The Holy Door is only opened during jubilee years.

“Mercy,” he said, “must be placed before judgment,” though he added, “God’s judgment will always be in the light of his mercy.” For those who pass through the door, the pope will give a plenary indulgence.

Indulgences are an age old Catholic fable that permits the one who does something or pays something to the church the forgiveness of sins, sometimes even future sins.

The Jubilee of Mercy coincided with the celebration of the “Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception,” which is a concept invented by the Catholic Church to magically make Mary the mother of Jesus to be born without sin. During his homily he said, “Not only does he forgive sin, but in Mary he even averts the original sin present in every man and woman who comes into this world.” In other words, Christ is different than us and therefore cannot be our example.

“The opening of the door is meant to symbolically illustrate the idea that the Church’s faithful are offered an ‘extraordinary path’ toward salvation during the time of jubilee.”

In other words, the faithful can work their way to salvation by passing through the door, something that Martin Luther and other reformers denounced as unbiblical heresy. The Catholic Church now teaches that the Lutheran Church and the Catholic Church now believe the same on justification by faith.

The year of Mercy will end before the beginning of the 500th anniversary of the protestant reformation, which happened in 1517.

Pope Francis connected the Holy Door to Mary the mother of Christ, saying that “God’s grace enfolded her and made her worthy of becoming the Mother of Christ.”

In his Angelus address delivered after the opening of the Holy Door, the pope called the faithful to look on the Immaculate Conception as a reminder that, “in our life, everything is a gift. Everything is mercy. The opening of the Jubilee of Mercy, he said, is an occasion to look on the Immaculate Conception “with trusting love, to contemplate her in all her splendor, (and imitate) her faith.”

Note that the faithful are to imitate Mary’s faith, not Christ’s faith. The apostle John in the book of Revelation 14:12 says, “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” He never discusses the “faith of the so-called Immaculate Virgin Mary.” In fact, the Bible never describes Mary as having an immaculate birth.

“In the Immaculate conception of Mary,” the pope said, “we are invited to recognize the dawn of the new world, transformed from the saving work of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

In light of his remarks about mercy coming before judgment, could this year of Mercy be a harbinger of judgment to come in the following year(s)?

Rome still teaches the doctrine of indulgences, the immaculate conception, works to gain salvation, and many other errors and unbiblical false doctrine, which the Bible condemns as the wine of Babylon.

“Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: with whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” Revelation 17:2

The man who says he is like God:
It’s interesting to watch the Pope’s dress, and specially his hat:

According to Ruben Joseph’s book entitled, “Why Are The Young People Leaving The Church”

“The miter is derived directly from the miters of the ancient pagan fish-god dagon and the goddess Cybele. The papal miter represents the head of Dagon with an open mouth, which is the reason for the pointed shape and split top.”

The middle symbol in the Pope’s mitre is an upside down cross, is it not?

The mass media doesn’t mention anything about this, other than:
“Cat stuck in a tree is finally being rescued by brave fireman”

    How convenient for the cat…
