The end-time is on the mind of Michele Bachmann. In a radio interview she said, “We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour.” Bachmann is a former Minnesota Republican congresswoman.
“We in our lifetimes potentially could see Jesus Christ returning to earth and the rapture of the church,” Bachmann said. “We see the destruction, but this was a destruction that was foretold.”
Bachmann accused the Obama administration of supporting radical Islam by its nuclear negotiations with Iran and its actions concerning abortion and gay marriage. She argued that God is punishing the United States for “embracing a pagan view.”
“We are literally watching, month by month, the speed move up to a level we’ve never seen before with these events,” Bachmann said.
“Any nation that accepts God and his principles is blessed, and those who push away are cursed. That’s what we’re seeing happen to the United States,” she continued. “We will suffer the consequences as a result,” she added.
It is not difficult to see how easy it will be to reign up emotions when disasters and other crises wreak havoc on the United States and cause people to look for a cause. Political leaders and religious leaders will make false representations and stir up the passions of the people (See Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 450). It is also important to note that Bachmann mentions the increasingly rapid speed of end-time events and the moral decline of the nation. She recognizes that “the final movements will be rapid ones” (Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 9, page 11).
President Obama mocked Bachmann. “Michele Bachmann actually predicted I would bring about the biblical end of days,” Obama told the correspondents, who erupted in roaring laughter. “Now that’s a legacy. That’s big. I mean Lincoln, Washington, they didn’t do that.” (See 2 Peter 3:3, 4)
Bachmann’s interviewer, Jan Markell, defended Bachmann, “God has His way of getting out a message about the end-of-days scenario. If he has to use a donkey (apparently to the pun to the symbol of the democratic party was intended), such as the left-wing outfits that have trashed Michele for two weeks, then I thank God for His creativity,” she said. “One way or another, He will get His message out that He is coming soon.”
Though Bachmann’s views of the end-time prophecies of scripture are inaccurate, she does understand that the current administration’s foreign policy and secular agenda is preparing the world for the final, stupendous crisis.
“The present is a time of overwhelming interest to all living. Rulers and statesmen, men who occupy positions of trust and authority, thinking men and women of all classes, have their attention fixed upon the events taking place about us. They are watching the strained, restless relations that exist among the nations. They observe the intensity that is taking possession of every earthly element, and they recognize that something great and decisive is about to take place–that the world is on the verge of a stupendous crisis.” Education, page 179

Tuesday May 12th, 2015 at 05:40 AMWow this statement could have come directly from the Great Controversy I believe the chapter entitled “The Impending Conflict”. Michele Bachmann is a thinking politician attempting to reason from cause to effect. Its critical that the Church get the truth message to people like this. It shows how close we are to the passing of the National Sunday Law.

Friday May 15th, 2015 at 08:41 PMIf only all of God’s Remnant People, with the Truth for our time could believe that God is coming in this generation. Then not few of us, but all of us, would run with the message, and give the precious Truth to everyone, including persons in office of state. Who knows, many of these individual would even join the movement and hasten Christ’s second coming.
Let’s continue to pray for God’s Last Day Movement.

Monday October 26th, 2015 at 08:19 AMGod indeed has His ways of getting the message out: He can even use a politician! If a politician is this perceptive, what excuse has the Seventh-day Adventist for not reading the signs of the times accurately?
