U.S. Republican Presidential candidate Ben Carson attended the speech of Pope Francis in the U.S. Congress House Chamber. He was invited by Representative Mark Sanford as a special guest.
“Dr. Carson appreciates the invitation from Congressman Mark Sanford and is looking forward to hearing the thoughts of the Holy leader,” Carson spokesperson Lindsay Perry said in a statement to The Hill.
Carson is a Seventh-day Adventist who recently made headlines by saying he did not support a Muslim that did not renounce Sharia law to become U.S. President.

Thursday October 8th, 2015 at 01:51 AMThe Lord knows why He allowed Dr. Carson to be in that position, He is no against Muslims, he is against anybody who is against our Constitution, (that protect us from tirany and slavery) Carson is the only candidate with Divine Wisdom and people can feel it, it comes from the Lord. We should pray for Him, most probably the Elite won’t allow him to reach the Presidency, but he is open American’s people eyes and give them Hope in the middle of darkness. God protects him, he is in playing a roll in the enemies territory only by faith.

Tuesday September 29th, 2015 at 09:56 AMKTF does not judge. We report on prophetic developments in light of the Bible and SOP. Whoever becomes POTUS will be manipulated by Rome just like every president since Kennedy (including Kennedy, by the way), and increasingly so. You cannot be POTUS these days and not come under the pale of Rome. Nor can one become POTUS without lying, authorizing killings, and supporting things that are wrong. One congressman told me once that one often has to choose between the lesser of two evils.

Friday September 25th, 2015 at 02:27 PMDr. Ben Carson was guest of U.S. Congressman Mark Sanford, NOT Pope Francis. Get your headlines correct so as not to mislead, unless that was your intent. Are you trying to link Dr. Ben Carson to the Antichrist? You should be ashamed of yourself.

Saturday September 26th, 2015 at 12:57 AMThese words were never uttered by Carson but by Perry. Most of the sites that quote Ben Carson as the “I” on this statement are based on the article published by http://www.breitbart.com. And this one concerning brother Ben’s title given to the pope is indicative of bending the knee. Its a fine line between acknowledging the pope’s title and aiding the supreme enemy of souls among men. But the title of this post is misleading. It should be rephrased because the title bears false witness against Ben. He was not a “guest” of the pope but of Mark Sanford.

Monday September 28th, 2015 at 09:43 AM“They have no time, wisdom, or strength to spend in taking sides with political parties. Men are being stirred with an intense activity from beneath, and the sons and daughters of God are not to give their influence to this political strife. But what kind of a spirit takes hold upon our people, when those who believe we are now under the third angel’s message, the last message of mercy to the world, brothers in the same faith, appear wearing the badges of opposing political parties, proclaiming opposite sentiments and declaring their divided opinions.” General Conference Daily Bulletin, February 17, 1897
“There is danger, decided danger, for all who shall link themselves up with the political parties of the world. There is fraud on both sides. God has not laid upon any of our people the burden of linking up with either party. We are under Christ’s banner, and every one who names the name of Christ is to depart from all iniquity. Sorrow and trial will come. The faith of every one is being tested. But our Lord is truth, he is love, and his scepter stretcheth over the universe. Surprises await every one. We know not what political crisis will come next. But in regard to the political agitators, the word of the Lord to us is, “Go not ye after them.” True wisdom will not lead us to follow the example of the foolish rich man of the parable. True wisdom is revealed in seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” General Conference Daily Bulletin, February 17, 1897
“The Lord would have His people bury political questions. On these themes silence is eloquence. Christ calls upon His followers to come into unity on the pure gospel principles which are plainly revealed in the word of God. We cannot with safety vote for political parties; for we do not know whom we are voting for. We cannot with safety take part in any political schemes. We cannot labor to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty, and to set in operation oppressive measures to lead or compel their fellow men to keep Sunday as the Sabbath.” Fundamentals of Education, page 476
“What are we to do, then? — Let political questions alone. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? and what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” What can there be in common between these parties? There can be no fellowship, no communion. The word fellowship means participation, partnership. God employs the strongest figures to show that there should be no union between worldly parties and those who are seeking the righteousness of Christ. What communion can there be between light and darkness, truth and unrighteousness? — None whatever. Light represents righteousness; darkness, error, sin, unrighteousness. Christians have come out of darkness into the light. They have put on Christ, and they wear the badge of truth and obedience. They are governed by the elevated and holy principles which Christ expressed in His
life. But the world is governed by principles of dishonesty and injustice.” Fundamentals of Education, page 476

Saturday September 26th, 2015 at 12:54 PMIt seems most unclear to me how the ktf ministry
is missing such an obvious prophetic situation and I am afraid a majority of sda’s are as well.
Nothing new there unfortunately. Thankfully some are not so easily led astray. Notice this: it is a blatant UNCONTROVERTIBLE fact that THE WORLD HAS HEARD MORE about SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS SINCE CARSON BEGAN TO RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY THAN IT HAS SINCE WE HAVE BEEN A CHURCH!!!! ATLEAST ON A WORLD STAGE!!! Not too mention the tens of thousands of individuals who are now seeking and will continue to seek to find out the background and beliefs of Dr. Carson. Sure even I had my doubts as to how Carson could/can handle political pressures vs. his faith. We may do well to let that alone between he and God. Is it still unclear that God is taking the reins in his own hands and through the presidency and media igniting a debate about our beliefs, and bringing adventism to the forefront, by the way just as white said would happen? May we not want to reconsider our NARROW AND SMALL PICTURE THINKING? Good advice by the way……THINK DEEPER!!!!!! One last important example. I believed Carson to have made a mistake speaking so boldly against a Muslim taking office. To my great surprise it again ignited serious and HEALTHY MUCH NEEDED DEBATE ABOUT RELIGOUS LIBERTY, CONSTITUTIONALISM, AND SHED MORE LIGHT ON THE FALSE TEACHINGS OF CHRISTIANITYS ENEMY, MOHAMMEDISM…..WHICH FOR THE LAST 10 PLUS YEARS IS GIVING US A SERIOUS RUN FOR OUR MONEY. Lastly, because of what seems to have been a very brilliant and bold stand for Carsons presidential campaign both money and supporters are flowing in overwelmingly for this position he has taken. Apparently people are looking for someone with nerve, brain, backbone, and a Spirit of God to make it all of benefit. If he can speak out like this, are we really going to condemn him for not doing the same with the pope IMMEDIATELY? They were BOTH invited to the SAME meeting!!
A word of caution and concern: Since WE may not be of the world but are definitely IN the world…WE may want to be careful about how WE as well as anyone are WONDERING after the beast while God is in the business of EXPOSING IT!!!! AND I WOULD AGAIN STRONGLY URGE A MEASURE OF RESTRAINT WHILE CONDEMNING A MAN WHOM GOD SEEMS TO BE STRONGLY USING IN MATTERS OF WHAT I WOULD CALL EXTREME UNITED STATES EMERGENCIES!!! Sorry its so long….but I do look forward to hearing from you on these crucial and important issues. Blessings, sa

Monday September 28th, 2015 at 09:42 AMWe do not condemn anyone. We simply report on prophetically significant events. Carson is running for public office. His actions are therefore public, and are publicly commented upon by many. He has a right to run for public office from a civil point of view. Following is heaven’s point of view.

Saturday September 26th, 2015 at 04:51 PMRemember that Queen Esther was used at a heathen court as a witness to the Persians. Ben Carson has already had a big influence as a presidemtial candidate, exposing many people in a positive way to fundamental Christian values. The fact that he accepted an invitation to hear the pope speak does not in any way compromise his principles. We are in sad shape if we forbid, on sectarian grounds, our public servants fom listening to people who hold a different point of view, Dr Carson could, as President, be a great witness, not only to the USA but to the entire world, for those principles we hold dear. Perhaps Ben Carson is sent “just for such a time.”

Thursday October 1st, 2015 at 10:43 AMIt bothers me a lot when people offer non-sequiturs and cherry-picked quotations from different contexts of long ago as rebuttal to sensible opinions. I think the quotations cited are still apt as to participating in Tammany Hall type political activity, but that is not the situation we have here with Dr. Ben Carson. Somehow the church is happy when Adventists take political leadership positions in the Caribbean or Africa or the South Pacific. Why then get ourselves in a knot when a competent and faithful Adventist aspires to political leadership in America.
The current issue of The Atlantic magazine carries a thoughtful article about what Christians should do when the world goes bad around us. There are basically two options: a Benedictine withdrawal from the world, or a reaching out to exert a Christian influence on the social landscape. Jesus said we should be the salt of the earth. He did not say we should withdraw into safe retreats and refuse to deal with the problems of the world. I applaud Dr. Carson for speaking out in defense of basic Christian freedoms. Whether or not he becomes president is in the hand of God. There is an old saying: Bad things happen when good people do nothing. I think we should not renege on our Christian mandate to be the salt of the earth. Certainly not on the basis of quotations dug up for a different context in a different time.
admin
Thursday October 1st, 2015 at 10:56 AMChristians should be salt and light in society. But when running for political office, there are so many compromises one has to make that it is almost impossible to maintain true Christian standards and practices. Carson has already indicated that liberty, particularly religious liberty, would not go that well under his leadership. For instance, he commented that all children should be vaccinated without regard to religious or philosophical objections. His remarks that a Muslim should not be president runs against the constitution and freedom for American-born citizens whatever their religion. Carson is playing to an evangelical constituency. In spite of the fact that he is a Seventh-day Adventist, his vague and uncertain views of truth underly his political positioning.

Josh
Monday October 5th, 2015 at 04:42 PMFirst, I disagree with Ben Carson on the issue of mandatory vaccinations, but having listened to and read his several statements closely, I think his position is more nuanced than has been generally critiqued. He was speaking off the cuff as a medical doctor, not as person in government. Second, I have the impression that if you had been alive in Judea 2000 years ago, you would have been among those who condemned Jesus for associating with tax collectors and prostitutes and for letting his disciples rub grain in their hands to eat on the Sabbath. Not to compare Carson with Jesus, but there is no person alive on the earth who is absolutely perfect in every respect, and we have to take the best we can get. Would you really reject Ben Carson in favor of another anti-Christian tyranny as we have experienced in recent years?

Monday October 5th, 2015 at 08:36 PMMost people who argue against what we have posted, miss an important point. They think we are talking about politics. But we are not. Our mission is to address the issues of prophecy, not on the merits, pro or con, of an individual candidate, or whether one is better than another. In this case in particular, we have addressed the prophetic counsel of the Lord concerning whether or not a Seventh-day Adventist should be involved in politics, the compromises he would have to make, and and in other cases, other significant developments related to prophecies of God’s inspired counsel. Your question is really for another forum, not this one. And as an aside, the doctor was running for POTUS when he made that dangerous statement about vaccinations, elevating the matter beyond his personal medical opinion. It is a political statement at that point, and since such an action would abridge true religious freedom, it was therefore part of our commentary. And lastly we don’t condemn anybody. We simply point out the prophetic development. Judgement belongs to God, not to human beings, your gratuitous allegation notwithstanding. Blessings…

Monday September 28th, 2015 at 09:40 AMIf he is elected president, there will be a connection. He will have to deal with the Vatican.

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 01:01 AMBen Carson was a guest of Mark Sanford…Sure as candidate for President I can see why he attended…the problem is referring to the pope as the HOLY anything..Holy leader Holy Father Holy See…the pope is not HOLY and for Carson to refer to his as the Holy Anything is sad …Sure the other candidate do but they are not Seventh Day Adventist and they don’t know any better Carson does…Not to mention Ben Carson making campaign appearances on the Sabbath…. Sure listen to the pope but don’t go compromising you values to fit in…I wasn’t going to vote for Ben anyway his comments in the first debate regarding torture and his approval of it is appalling…

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 01:39 AMI don’t get it. He said thanks for the invitation and said he was looking forward to hearing what the holy leader had to say. Shocking! The pope IS a holy leader. I think we all know that. This headline is misleading as well. A big to-do about nothing.

Saturday November 25th, 2017 at 06:13 PMI agree but do we know that Ben Carson actually penned the release, or was the insertion of the Catholic title of the Pope done by a staffer trying to ‘follow protocol’? Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 07:56 AMDid Ben Carson bow down to worship the pope?
We are in this world and not of this world.
The anti-christ will be among us, we will listen to his uttersances – if it were not so how would we test the spirits to discern that which was prophesied? I watched and listened to all his speeches and that does not mean I followed the pope.
Adventists need to stop running scared and prepare their hearts and mind to receive Christ. It is time to work doubly hard to spread the Good news of the imminent return of Jesus. Prophesies were given to be fulfilled.

Monday September 28th, 2015 at 09:38 AMThis is not about fear. We live in prophetic times, and KTF reports on prophetic events, which necessarily involves individuals when they intersect with prophecy. Look up, rejoice, for your redemption draweth neigh.

Thursday October 1st, 2015 at 11:32 PMTo AshBash ,
Please prove that Ben Carson is a member of the Skull & Bones. Any documented source or proofs. You are making a very serious accusation that he is a member of this Satanic group. You must have an authentic source or accurate trust-worthy book or verifiable speech or true record. Not just hearsay ! If you do not have the real evidence against Ben, do not spread a false rumor for you are breaking the 9th Commandant–Do not bear false witness.

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 11:22 AMThere are more and more leftwing fanatics in the adventist church that will believe this rubbish about even their own esp if he is a republican. We as a church used to have more conservative values but now as our church is moving closer to the world the church believes in the left wing policies. I saw this as I watched the GC meetings in texas and seeing that we are allowing the LGTB community to dictate to some of our churches. Although I do believe that Carson will bring us as sda into the light a bit more I don’t think that he is the wrong choice for our country.

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 11:40 AMThere is no way one can become President of the UNited States without compromising faith. And make a pact with Satan. Ben Carson ought to know better but just because someone used to be Adventist means they still are. Barrack Obama make a lot of good and a lot of bad changes if elected just a big if he will do no different because a Presudent in the US power is very limited. We should pray that the tine is near and we need to get ourselves ready before the coming of the Lord!

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 12:50 PMPlease get your fact straight. He did not say that, his spokesperson did. We are still yet to see how he will be doing. God bless him!

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 03:32 PMI am praying that it was his spokesperson, (who still should have known better) who said this and not Dr. Carson. I would have to hear it in quotes from him…not from an employee. Just saying…
Diane Kelly
Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 04:32 PMI would hope that this remark was made by Dr. Carson’s spokesperson, NOT by Dr. Carson (even though she should have known better and should NOT have referred to the pope In that way.) Perhaps you could contact him and ask him directly as I am still in the hopes that he didn’t know about this. I would only believe it if it was said directly from him, out of his mouth, not an employee…

Sunday September 27th, 2015 at 07:27 PMIt was his spokesperson. However, a spokesperson, by definition, speaks for the person he works for. The credibility of the comment is not in question. Why would his spokesman say things that are not credible about Dr. Carson?

“I appreciate the invitation from Congressman Mark Sanford and am looking forward to hearing the thoughts of the Holy leader,” stated Carson.
I would like you all to read the statement as taken from the source, and note that Ben made the reference as ‘Holy leader’.

Monday September 28th, 2015 at 12:27 AMOK so after majoring in the minors of who said what……the point IS Ben Carson is abandoning his faith and SDA fundamental beliefs IN PURSUIT OF WORDLY AMBITIOINS. He did “wonder” after the Head of the Catholic church he WENT and listened. HE does attend campaign events on the sabbath, HE a vegetarian, did partake of a Ham sandwich and when his tooth fell out. He admitted that he is not promoting his affiliation with the SDA church……just to mention a few problems. Look. Our world and yes the US is in trouble! Ben Carson is a nice man OK……but he DOES NOT have the skill set to lead this nation – can you imagine him trying to negotiate with Putin?????. He should consult with people who will tell him the TRUTH – HE WILL NOT BE ELECTED PRESIDENT…..so go home enjoy his retirement with Candy and get out of politics!!

Saturday October 3rd, 2015 at 10:39 PMI am, very disappointed with Dr. Carson’s decision to enter the Presidential arena. As a Seventh Day Adventist I.m pretty sure he knew that his candidacy would throw him into activities that would mandate the violation of the sabbath. I am really puzzled why he would even consider this venture. Although I see him as a very fine person, personality wise, coupled with his status as a surgeon, I wouldn’t vote in his behalf because I feel that he has betrayed our FAITH !

Sunday October 4th, 2015 at 08:19 AMGod places people into position “for such a time as this.” Remember Queen Esther, Joseph as Prime Minister of Egypt, All the kings of Israel – good and bad. I am ashamed of the judgemental comments of my sisters and brothers. Please keep our eyes open and ours to the ground and pray, pray and pray more. Adopt a christlike attitude. You don’t know what is in a man’s heart. Watch your words. Don’t judge.

Sunday October 4th, 2015 at 08:48 AMWhile we should not be judgmental in our attitude toward Dr. Carson, or anyone else, clearly the the examples mentioned have nothing to do with a political run for POTUS unless one stretches them beyond measure. The counsel of the Lord is clear. Please read our previous posts on this. And yes, none of us should be judgmental. However, it is not being judgmental to point out the inconsistencies of a public figure such as Dr. Carson and the bible and SOP. God bless.

Wednesday October 7th, 2015 at 05:55 AMOne thing for sure, The pope addressed both houses of Congress of the U.S.A., the bridge with Rome and spiritualism is complete. Beast mark will be next, lamblike usa now will speak like a dragon , state Church union is forming, investigative judgment on sda church is closing, sifting having it’s effect, latter rain outpouring, call out of Babylon soon hearing, all soon conclude, and where are you standing in the light of all this?

Thursday October 8th, 2015 at 03:11 PMI became SDA in the 1970’s and was so pleased to finally be shown :The Truth. I was naive and thought all SDA would have the Holy Spirit understanding of the SOP and would leave the world and all it entails behind while bringing the Word to our neighbors with simple acts of LOVE. To realize that Ben Carson would leave the SOP behind and step on the International stage as a secular person (he’s not taken a religious stand) literally blows my mind! And that so many SDA support his descent only makes the SOP more relevant for our time as the warnings have been uttered and the people rebel and look back to Sodom in longing for what the world has promised. The Sunday Law is coming sooner than most are willing to believe and Jesus soon return will be as a thief in the night for those who look for worldly redemption. Come soon Lord Jesus.

Monday October 12th, 2015 at 07:32 AMSDAs really need to wake up!

Wednesday October 14th, 2015 at 04:13 PMHummmm!!!!!!!!!! Interesting and worrisome commentaries. While I am not going to be judgmental concerning Ben Carson,s to run for Republican presidential ticket or any invitation by some politician, although am not an American, but if God’s hand is with him who change and put hindrance? If I have the opportunity to vote, I will go for him with my vote, being an Adventist, that s’it 100%. As politicia, he needs to move from one angle to another, if elected, he’s not going serve Adventist but America as a nation and people. Ben God bless you, God bless Adventists, God bless America, and those love, support his intent. I cannot hide my feelings for him, he has made my church known to the world now, we not known in this magnitute, the CNN correspondent that picked on him on Muslim leadership, never looked Ben’s folly on the Muslim leadership’ he, the CNN reported that, is not what the churches teaches as a member sda. I appreciate him and proud of him. Good evening!

Wednesday October 28th, 2015 at 02:46 AM1) I know that Dr. Ben Carson did not say “Holy Leader”, but I do not have to disprove it. On the contrary, those who stubbernly repeat this heresay NEED to prove it! (And : BEFORE they widely spread that gossip!) This is not only dictated by any law but logic and common / legal sense as well, – not to mention christian attitude and the love of the truth and fellow men.
2) The quoted EGW articles do not apply to Dr. Ben Carson, his situation is completely different from what she refers to. He is not entering into the political arena, he keeps repeating that. Neither is he linking up with any political party. He is an independent, but in order to run for president he had to choose one of the two parties.
Since he does not agree with the godless principles and practices of the democrats, but firmly believes in the republican founding fathers godly, bible based principles, – what the Constitution is also based on (please read EGW’s view on this Constitution!), – he chose the republican party, – but without identifying himself with their present motives and goals, if those are different from his own and from those of the founding fathers.
His only agenda is to unify the divided United States again and together restore the original America; One Nation under God. Freeing people from the tyranny of the government and from those who want to take away the rights for Life, Liberty and pursuit for Happiness.
This is not politics! At least not in the wrong sense.
3) God called Dr. Ben Carson, I believe, – he does not lie. Besides it’s obvious, how God gave him wisdom and opens the doors. Even if he will not be elected as president, mission is already accomplished: God sent a final warning to America.
Without him as president America very quickly will go down the tube. With him this could be postponed and we will have a little more time to spread the gospel. (At least during his presidency the Sunday-law won’t be given out.)
He as president would be in a very similar situation as Joseph, Esther and Daniel. They all were put in the office to save the people and the leaders who were willing to listen (Nebuchadnezzar).
4) I cannot find any biblical reason against going and listening to the pope’s speech. Listening does not mean agreeing what Our church rep
Kathy
Wednesday October 28th, 2015 at 03:37 AMSorry, I sent my letter unfinished by accident.
Addition to 4) : Our church representatives always go to ecumenical meetings as observers, not participants. Same with Dr. Carson; he did not bow down, kneel down, kiss papal ring, applaud, etc. I believe most of you listened to the pope on tv, internet, etc. I did.
5) He did not say no way a Muzlim can be president. He said – when he was asked (provoked) – that HE will not support it, unless the candidate would deny the shari’a law.Of course if a Muzlim would do that, he will not be a Muzlim anymore, and quickly would be murdered by his brothers – according to the shari’a law.
What Dr. Carson said then, and later expanded on it, was very useful and eyeopener for muzlims and for us as well. Because most of the muzlims do not know the Qur’an and christians do not know it either. For this reason we together are deceived into believing that Islam is a peaceful religion. But Islam is much more than a religion, and basically very violent, satanic ideology. The Jihadists are the true follower of the Qur’an. Read it!!
Now, after Carson statement we both, deceived muslims and christians should work harderin order that muslims

Wednesday October 28th, 2015 at 03:59 AMthat muslims learn about Jesus and the gospel.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, I ask you not to join those who relentlessly attack Dr. Carson for those things he did not said. For decades he performed 15,000 brain surgery, many times for 18-20-22 hours on each, saving multitudes of lives. He well deserved a restful retirement, instead he is going around, working hard to save this country, enduring all this mud thrown at him. Please do not stone God’s messenger! Pray for him, he is one of us.

Thursday October 29th, 2015 at 12:36 AM“……..that muzlims learn about Jesus……” etc.
This is the third and very last part of my reply, what I sent yesterday, – unfortunately in 3 different parts, because by accident I submitted my unfinished letter twice within 30-40 minutes.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but I ask you to insert the first and second parts above this third part, – because this one in itself is meaningless. – THANK YOU SO MUCH! -God bless! Kathy

Saturday October 31st, 2015 at 06:49 PMThe tempter often works most successfully through those who are least suspected of being under his control. The possessors of talent and education are admired and honored as if these qualities could atone for the absence of the fear of God or entitle men to his favor……..Many a man of cultured intellect and pleasant manners, who would not stoop to what is commonly regarded as an immoral act, is but a polished instrument in the hands of Satan. The insidious, deceptive character of his influence and example renders him a more dangerous enemy to the cause of Christ than are those who are ignorant and uncultured.
By earnest prayer and dependence upon God, Solomon obtained the wisdom which excited the wonder and admiration of the world. But, when he turned from the Source of his strength and went forward relying upon himself, he fell a prey to temptation. Then the marvelous powers, bestowed on this wisest of kings, only rendered him a more effective agent of the adversary of souls. Great Controversy p508-509.
I read the above and thought of Dr Ben Carson. He is in my prayers.
