In a recent interview with Yahoo News, Trump was asked if he would want to increase surveillance and tracking of American Muslims.
“We’re going to have to do things that we never did before,” he said. “And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule. And certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy. And so we’re going to have to do certain things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago.”
Yahoo also asked Trump if he would require registering Muslims in a database or give them identification cards. Trump did not rule it out.
“We’re going to have to look at a lot of things very closely,” he responded. “We’re going to have to look at the mosques. We’re going to have to look very, very carefully.”
When pressed for information by an NBC News reporter, he said he would definitely implement a database for Muslims.
Fox News had interviewed Trump a few days earlier. They asked him if he would follow a new British proposal for countering extremism that includes revoking the passports of people who travel to fight with ISIS and shuttering mosques that support extremism.
“I would do that, absolutely,” said Trump, “I think it’s great.”
While in Iowa, Trump was asked by an NBC News reporter for clarification. He was asked “Should there be a database system that tracks Muslims of this country?”
“There should be a lot of systems, beyond databases. We should have a lot of systems. And today, you can do it. But right now we have to have a border, we have to have strength, we have to have a wall and we cannot let what’s happening to this country happening.”
The NBC reporter followed up, “Is that something your White House would like to do?”
Trump responded, “I would certainly implement that. Absolutely.”
When pressed on whether it would be legal to do so in light of religious freedom, Trump slightly backed off.
“Well, I don’t know,” he said. “I mean, I haven’t heard about the closing of the mosque. It depends, if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear, I don’t know. You’re going to have to certainly look at it.”
Rachel Maddow of MSNBC said, “The idea of the federal government creating a registry of a religious minority, requiring Americans to enter some kind of federal database, is as disgusting an idea as has been offered by any major-party presidential candidate in generations. This is not politics as usual. It’s far, far worse – and it is terrifying.
Religious freedom is front and center in light of Islamic extremism. Many Americans want a strong leader. When someone as strong as Donald Trump comes along and offers to fix the problems, his message resonates with a lot of people. Trump is the front-runner in the GOP (Republican) presidential candidate by a long margin. In the minds of many people, we may have come to a point that is parallel to pre-war Germany.
The United States “shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government.” Testimonies for the Church, Vol 5, page 451.
Under such a president, would America’s legislative bodies be able to resist the demands of its people to remove religious freedoms for Muslims, or for others? Would they be able to resist demands for a Sunday law? Could it be that registering Muslims could precipitate registering other religious groups?

Tuesday November 24th, 2015 at 02:41 PMI was telling some of my church members who agree with Trump that you may think what he is saying is a good idea until that idea is used against us.
I don’t view Trump as strong at all. He’s weak, ignorant and quite frankly he plays on people fears…His racism and xenophia is really sad and pathetic and what’s worse so many American’s agree with this guy. Over and over he’s been caught lying and the bigger lie he tells the more people support him.
I served in the Navy and later in the Texas National Guard….I remember the words of the National anthem about land of the free and home of the brave…When did this country become a land of cowards….a land where so many are willing to trample the right of others for so called safety?
I’m not all that surprised though…after 8 years of Obama is a Muslim…anti Mexican rhetoric and non sense this is the next step.
We know Bible prophecy predicts this and we are witnessing it. Our only safety is in the Word of God…

Tuesday November 24th, 2015 at 06:40 PMYes, Craig, we should have said that he “appears” as a strong man. Talks big and plays on people’s underlying fears or anxieties. A politician, not a statesman.

Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 01:13 AMFar be it from me to defend Trump, but he was taken out of context and the liberal media edited the transcript. Trump was talking about building a wall on the border. Watch the video. It shows the reporter asking about the refugees. Trump answers it then starts talking about his main issue – the border. The media cannot be trusted to give the truth.

Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 08:40 AMI’m not sure I get the “we all know Bible prophecy” rhetoric from SDAs. The Bible prophecy I’ve seen from the GC is that the Catholic church is what we are to fear and watch. This was from EGW, one SDAs seem to revere as a prophet. So, you don’t question what she says. I understand that some SDA pastors are coming out with prophecies concerning Muslims. But, they aren’t prophets. Are some SDAs treating their words as gospel? Is this emphasis on prophecy a way for some SDAs to keep focusing on knowledge instead of doing something productive? If prophecy trumps occupying until Jesus comes then all SDAs have to do is sit back, talk prophecy and watch. They can continue to be pacificists and blame the devil and others for evil going on. But, is that being good and right? If the colonists had all been pacifists we would not have the USA. What do you think about this statement by Edmund Burke, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”

Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 09:22 AMJesus frequently reminded us to watch current events in light of bible prophecy. EGW is only part of the picture. True followers of Jesus do not fear with Christ in our hearts. They watch and work for the salvation of souls.

Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 02:04 PM“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place for demons,a haunt for every unclean spirit,a haunt for every unclean bird,a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast. For all nations have drunk the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living.”
Rev. 18:2
“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows”!

Wednesday November 25th, 2015 at 11:21 PMIf you want to be safe and secure you have to have freedom. Taking away rights and freedoms only serves to make you less safe and less secure.
God is guiding the nations and we need to except that all our freedoms will be taken away for a short time and then we will see Jesus coming in the clouds of glory! Then we will know true peace security and freedom. A-men

Thursday November 26th, 2015 at 07:52 PMNow for something that is the truth. All of us are on a data base, when Born we have a name and address, then when we go to school another entry on your data base, when you get a drivers licence, another entry on your data base, if you serve in any Military force, your Name and number become another entry on your data base, if you get married, another entry, and the entries go on and on, and when you die, yet another entry. So people wake up, you are all on a data base..So Craig Swift you are well and truly on a data base, and that you should know, what a pity you criticize Mr D Trump, he too is on a data base. as is Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, poor misguided person, as is most people on this planet that we call Earth. Wake up folks and smell the roses. Also check your TFN, another nail in your coffin. If you want to make a comment do your research, what I write is FACT.. You are on the data base, in this age of PCs it is easy to check. Do it and be amazed, and correct your witten statements..

Sunday November 29th, 2015 at 01:33 PMAs for the database, please have a look at what the Bible indicates:
Luke 2.1
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
My question is this: How is it possible that man could preserve such a practise of registration of people in today’s modern, technocratic society?
The means of controlling the masses have become brilliantly sofisticated, but the principles are the same! Man is mortal, but who has the power and WILL to reinforce such a global masive surveillance of the masses?
The only person I can think of, is Satan.
I’m looking forward to the successor of the Reality TV series: “The Apprentice”, with the title: “Rome is Big Brother”.
However, I have a feeling of that this will never happen.
