Bolivia’s president Evo Morales met with Pope Francis to help pave the way for improved relations between Bolivia and the Vatican. Morales described the meeting as “very positive.” Roman Catholic Morales began the discussion by saying, “For me you are brother Francis,” to which the Pope answered: “As it should be, as it should be.”
During the meeting the two men discussed Syria and also the relations between the church and state in Bolivia. They agreed to ‘assume the culture of coming together’ that the pope has advocated.
Morales then met with Secretary of State Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, and the Secretary for Relations with States, Monsignor Dominique Mamberti, “Morales described the interview as ‘very good’ and said that he was leaving ‘very happy after listening to Francis.’”
Rome wants more influence in Catholic societies in Latin America. Morales’ spiritual “fornication” with Pope Francis will further that agenda.
The two men also exchanged gifts.
“For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.” Revelation 18:3
