NBC 24, by Jamel Valencia: President Joe Biden was slammed on social media after he announced that “Transgender Day of Visibility, would be recognized on Easter Sunday.
The Catholic president on Friday announced his message to all transgender Americans.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOSEPH R. BIDEN JR., President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim March 31, 2024, as Transgender Day of Visibility. I call upon all Americans to join us in lifting up the lives and voices of transgender people throughout our Nation and to work toward eliminating violence and discrimination based on gender identity, read Biden’s statement on the White House website read in part.
Easter, which is observed on Sunday, March 31 this year, is one of the most solemn and important day for Christians. It commemorates the resurrection of Jesus.
Biden came under fire Saturday when presidential candidate Donald Trump, politicians and others criticized the president.
A statement from Trump’s campaign called Biden’s proclamation “blasphemous” and “appalling.” Trump demanded an apology from Biden and the White House.
It is appalling and insulting that Joe Biden’s White House prohibited children from submitting religious egg designs for their Easter Art Event, and formally proclaimed Easter Sunday as ‘Trans Day of Visibility.’ Sadly, these are just two more examples of the Biden Administration’s years-long assault on the Christian faith. We call on Joe Biden’s failing campaign and White House to issue an apology to the millions of Catholics and Christians across America who believe tomorrow is for one celebration only — the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia alleged Biden and Democrats mocked the Christian faith.
“This is a direct assault on Christianity. It’s evident the left is determined to undermine our religion and traditions,” Tennessee Republican Rep. Diana Harshbarger wrote on X. “This isn’t just blatant disregard, it’s intentional.”
Republican Congressman Alex Mooney, who is running for Senate, blasted Biden for the “coincidence on the timing.”
Vivek Ramaswamy, former presidential candidate, posted,” Joe Biden just proclaimed that ‘Transgender Visibility Day’ is on Sunday, March 31st. I wonder how he came up with that date.”
A recent poll from Pew Research showed how Americans feel about presidential candidates and their religious engagement .
A total of 13% of U.S. adults say they think Biden is “very” religious, while 41% say he is “somewhat” religious and 44% say he is “not too” or “not at all” religious.
When it came to Trump that same poll found 4% think Trump is “very” religious, while 25% describe him as “somewhat” religious and 68% say he is “not too” or “not at all” religious.
It’s important to note that a new poll by Pew Research indicated more Americans are moving away from organized religion.

Like a slap in the face kind of reaction. As we see these things happening, we have a barometer as to just how truly close we ARE to Jesus’s return. My deceased parents would turn over in their graves if they could see and hear what is going on in the world today. Can you believe it? It’s truly astonishing, is it not? I echo the messages of my dear sisters above, that Jesus will be returning very soon. Amen! Praise the Lord! We must stay faithful to Him through it all and we must tell everyone who will listen this Good News. Time is short brothers and sisters. We must not sit idly by waiting. We have a job to do. Jesus is counting on us. To work!
