Republican Ben Carson, who is considering a run for president of the United States, apologized for saying that being gay is a choice. He had cited prisons as evidence.
“In a recent interview on CNN, I realized that my choice of language does not reflect fully my heart on gay issues,” said the retired neurosurgeon. “I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended,” he added.
CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked if he believes being gay was a choice, Carson replied: “Absolutely… because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight — and when they come out, they’re gay… So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”
Whether or not being gay is a choice is not really the issue. The real question is what God would have us do about our sexuality or sexual orientation. We live in a world of sin and perversion of every kind. Will we follow His word, or will we follow our own sinful natures, whether straight or same-sex attracted?
“I answered a question without really thinking about it thoroughly. No excuses,” Carson said. He then distanced himself from politicians by saying, “I deeply regret my statement and I promise you, on this journey, I may err again, but unlike politicians when I make an error I will take full responsibility and never hide or parse words.”
There is simply no way that a presidential candidate can avoid the political machinery and become embroiled in party politics no matter how one may parse words. It is equally impossible in this day and age to not be influenced by the gay agenda in national politics.
“The Lord speaks of those who claim to believe the truth for this time, yet see nothing inconsistent in their taking part in politics, mingling with the contending elements of these last days, as the circumcised who mingle with the uncircumcised, and He declares that He will destroy both classes together without distinction. They are doing a work that God has not set them to do. They dishonor God by their party spirit and contention, and He will condemn both alike.” Fundamentals of Christian Education, page 482
God’s people have been called out of the world, that they may be separated from the world. It is not safe for them to take sides in politics, whatever preference they may have. They are ever to remember that they are one in Christ. God calls upon them to enter their names as under His theocracy. He cannot approve of those who link up with worldlings. We are entirely out of our place when we identify ourselves with party interests. Let us not forget that we are citizens of the kingdom of heaven. We are soldiers of the cross of Christ, and our work is to advance the interests of His kingdom.” Manuscript Releases, page 40

Thursday March 12th, 2015 at 12:19 PMAnother reason we now see that the Law is not abolished, for to stand against this abomination you must acknowledge the law !
” Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.” Leviticus 18:22.
Mal 3. I am the Yah, I change not!
How can you stand for the Father? Bow your head to his law.
Isaiah 8:20 To the law (law of Moses) and to the Testimony( tables of the testimony- 10 commandments) if they speak not according to this, there is no light in them.
We are living in the last hour. We must accept all his laws! Ask yourself…. why do we still pay tithe?, why do we still eat clean meats, why do we know that homosexuality is wrong? because the Law of MOses, given to him to write, by God still stands….. Ask your self and be honest…

Saturday March 14th, 2015 at 08:20 AMNo political candidate can expect to be unoffensive without compromising principle. When Jesus spoke, He never sacrificed biblical principle and neither should we. If Ben Carson persists in this mad dash for the White House we can expect many more compromises. We need to pray for the Holy Spirit to speak to Ben’s heart and convince him to bow out of the race.

Saturday March 14th, 2015 at 10:06 AMToo many Christians try to fit in or to be men pleasers. As a Christian you live by God’s law and follow his spirit and not be afraid of their faces. If one thinks God is calling them to serve in politics, that is great. But let none think they can serve God by showing sympathy or appease anyone to continue in their sin. Ben should go back to being a Christian and should not try to serve God and mammon. He still can be a powerful witness, but he must repent for his denial of Christ. Then his ministry will be powerful for what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

Monday March 16th, 2015 at 06:36 PMThose who claim to believe the truth, and yet spend their time in making political speeches, are changing leaders. They cannot claim the privilege of being subjects of the heavenly kingdom.– Manuscript 177, 1899, p. 8

Monday March 16th, 2015 at 09:59 PMPraying for Dr.Ben Carson. He is too fine a man, a great Christian example over the years, to be brought low by political games. Praying he will stand for Jesus, stand for the right though the heavens fall! Be a man that cannot be bought or sold! Be a man with of God! This is the kind of leaders ended. Jesus is coming! We want Dr.Ben there! So does our Lord!

Wednesday March 18th, 2015 at 11:34 AMI am disturbed that Dr. Carson’s joining in politics will put a smear on the church. Right now he is flip floping in his stands and his principles are no longer faith or Bible based. Please pray that he would back down from his attempt or plan for candidacy. The Lord can use him more powerfully in many other ways than in politics. May he follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Wednesday March 18th, 2015 at 11:35 AMWell, he should have just said something like: “I know about some vocal gay activists who would consider it an offense to say that they had no choice but to be gay, because that implies that they are victims of their sexual preference, instead of allowing them the dignity of having made the choice themselves. So perhaps the homosexual community should get their story straight first? Will they market themselves as the victims of something that was once classified a mental ilness, or will they appeal to their personal liberty as basis for their behaviour without taking shelter in victimhood?”

White before the teachers and students of Battle Creek College at the time of the General Conference in Battle Creek, Mich, Nov. 15, 1883.] – See more at: http://www.churchstate.org/~churchst/index.php?id=187#sthash.g7stf0Gs.dpuf
Dear youth, what is the aim and purpose of your life? Are you ambitious for education that you may have a name and position in the world? Have you thoughts that you dare not express, that you may one day stand upon the summit of intellectual greatness; that you may sit in deliberative and legislative councils, and help to enact laws for the nation? There is nothing wrong in these aspirations. You may every one of you make your mark.
There is nothing wrong in these aspirations. You may every one of you make your mark. You should be content with no mean attainments. Aim high, and spare no pains to reach the standard. . . . The important question with you now is, how to so choose and perfect your studies that you will maintain the solidity and purity of 118 an untarnished Christian character, holding all temporal claims and interests in subjection to the higher claims of the gospel of Christ. You want now to build as you will be able to furnish, to so relate yourself to society and to life that you may answer the purpose of God in your creation. As disciples of Christ, you are not debarred from engaging in temporal pursuits; but you should carry your religion with you. Whatever the business you may qualify yourself to engage in, never entertain the idea that you cannot make a success of it without sacrificing principle. Balanced by religious principle, you may climb to any height you please.—Fundamentals of Christian Education, pp. 82, 83

Tuesday December 29th, 2015 at 05:29 PMBen Carson is not influenced by the gay agenda. This pastor is either jealous, ignorant, or a tare. Was unsure myself in the beginning and not biased in any way. Been following Carson and analizing everything he says from start till recent.. everything he says is honest, genuine, and Godly.
