The Age: The horror run continues for the Rainbow Serpent dance festival in central Victoria, with a sixth person hospitalized for a suspected drug overdose and a slew of drug-related arrests.

Rainbow Festival is a long-running annual four-day dance music festival held in Lexton, around 50 kilometres north-west of Ballarat.
More than 20 people have been arrested for drug related offences since the festival kicked off on Friday, including a 17-year-old boy who was charged with drug trafficking. The Balwyn North teenager has been bailed to face a children’s court at a later date.
A 25-year-old female French national was also arrested for drug trafficking, and 17 other people who were located with drugs were either given a drug diversion or cannabis caution.
Four others arrested on Saturday, including the French national, have been remanded to appear at Ballarat Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Police continue to use detection dogs to search people and vehicles during the festival which runs until Monday night.
The festival has been marred by non-drug related incidents as well. On Thursday night, three festival goers were taken to hospital after a small truck rolled onto their tent shortly after 4:30pm.
A man in his 30s was flown to The Alfred Hospital in serious condition after suffering injuries to his chest, legs, hand and face. Two women were taken to Ballarat Base Hospital for treatment…
The name of the festival, Rainbow Serpent, says it all. The enemy, who originally possessed a serpent in the Garden of Eden now engineers these sorts of events to lock souls into his kingdom. The serpent motif reveals the festival’s true identity and orientation.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” Romans 1:28-32.
