Pennsylvania Republican State Rep. Rick Saccone held a rally in Harrisburg recently where he announced that he intends to run for the U.S. Senate against Democratic Sen. Bob Casey, Jr. next year.
Religious Right historian David Barton and Sam Rohrer of the American Pastors Network joined Saccone at his rally. Saccone appeared on Rohrer’s “Stand In The Gap” radio program where he explained that he is launching this bid for higher office because God wants Christians “who will rule with the fear of God in them to rule over us.”
In the radio interview, Saccone said that if Christians “don’t get involved in government, the government will get involved in you, and you won’t like the results. The government will run over you and you won’t have any say it. So Christians have to stand up and make sure that they have a say in their government and that they’re protecting their rights and our religious liberties, which are being trampled on every day across this nation. If we don’t speak out, those liberties will be taken away. You can see it day after day, case after case.”
“God has set out a plan for us,” Saccone continued. If Christians don’t rule, “then the evil side will take over and the government will control and run over the good people and so they have to stand up, that’s just part of it. If you don’t have good people in government, then you’ll have bad people in government—and when bad people are reigning over us, the people will not be happy.”
What can we expect if religious people rule over the nation, who do not respect God’s seventh day Sabbath?
“This earth has almost reached the place where God will permit the destroyer to work his will upon it. The substitution of the laws of men for the law of God, the exaltation, by merely human authority, of Sunday in place of the Bible Sabbath, is the last act in the drama. When this substitution becomes universal, God will reveal Himself. He will arise in His majesty to shake terribly the earth. He will come out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the world for their iniquity, and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” Testimonies for the Church Vol. 7, page 141.

Friday March 10th, 2017 at 01:57 PMJesus said my kingdom is not of this world!
How many disciples got involved in laws and government? NONE! How many early church father’s and leaders tried to get into law making or politics in order to change society even during the height of the worst Christian persecution? NONE! They changed the WORLD one heart at a time. But now that the church is full blown Laodician they lack the Holy Spirit that gives them the power and love to change people and in the process, society so now we think we it’s our job to force change on others through law making. When has legislating morality EVER changed anyone? Looking to the government to help us do what only God and His spirit can do will, be disastrous.

Friday March 10th, 2017 at 08:28 PMYes we went from not wanting religious leaders to now wanting them!
Under non religious leaders, some called Liberals, we got “same sex marriage” nationwide laws. This was in effort to afford the LGBTQ “equals rights”. It could be said that the Obama Administration erred on the side of love.
Apparently President Obama and supporters of this legislation were fooled. This is what Satan wanted, to get the Conservatives allied together a motivated to enact his other Satanic law.
Now under religious leaders, called Conservatives, we will get the “enforcement of Sunday Blue Laws” nationwide. This will be in effort to save societal problems. Many will demand this to obtain God’s favor and temporal prosperity. They say to “turn this country back to God”, as if it ever was.
These folk are equally fooled and played themselves right into Satan’s trap.
Both agendas and consequent laws come from unconverted sinners who do not know God or the truth.
One might disagree that we will not or may not get the enforcement of the National Sunday Law under the current Administration; but Mr. Trump said as much.
He stated unequivocally, he “will destroy the wall of separation between church & state”, he promised to give the Evangelicals and I quote “whatever they want”.
They want a Sunday Law, and what or who is to stop them? Not Congress, not the Supreme court, they are all on the same team. Even our explicit Constitution will not be enough and will be repudiated.
All will come to regret their ignorant and soul damning decision, whether they admit it or not,… until the time when they (all) will bow and confess to God, And give an account of himself to God. Romans 14: 11 & 12. paraphrased
