At least 39 people were killed when a tour bus plummeted some 30 meters (100 ft) into a ravine in Southern Italy. The bus driver lost control of the bus as it suddenly careened into several other cars stopped in a traffic jam before going through a guard rail over a viaduct.
Approximately 50 people, mostly Italians, were on the tour bus, as it crashed in a rural area near Moneforte Irpino about 60 kilometers (40 miles) from Naples.
The cause of the crash is unclear, though a blown tire or break trouble are suspect.
As we near the close of probation, the great lines of travel will see disasters and calamities. These are a warning of the judgment to come and that the close of probation is near at hand.
“Disasters by rail will become more and more frequent; confusion, collision, and death without a moment’s warning will occur on the great lines of travel. The end is near, probation is closing…” Maranatha, page 37
