Piensen un poco sobre lo siguiente. Actualmente el Vaticano tiene el estatus de observador en las Naciones Unidas. Cuando la ONU fue establecida en 1945, el papado no tenía la ventaja con la que cuenta ahora. El protestantismo se encuentra neutralizado gracias al movimiento ecuménico y a la popularidad e influencia mundial con la que goza la voz moral del Papa. En aquel entonces, los protestantes consideraban al Papado como el anticristo. Para Roma ser un miembro de las Naciones Unidas, hubiese tenido gran complicación en sus actividades diplomáticas y consultas; y probablemente habría generado una gran cantidad de protestas y hostilidad.
No obstante, ahora se considera al Papado de una manera muy distinta a como ocurría en la década de 1940. Incluso hoy en día, se le considera que es útil y sabio. También el Papa goza de gran popularidad. Presidentes, Primeros Ministros, Reyes y gobernantes de todos los niveles y clasificaciones lo veneran. Ahora que ya no existe esa hostilidad contra Roma, el Vaticano podría considerar un cambio en su relación con las Naciones Unidas.
De hecho, así lo mencionó el cardenal Bernadito Auzo, jefe en funciones de la delegación del Vaticano que observó las charlas sobre el clima. Dijo que el Vaticano está considerando seriamente unirse al Marco de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático. Si bien esto no significa ser un miembro pleno de las Naciones Unidas, si podría tratarse de probar las aguas para ver si una membresía completa sería aceptable.
«Si el Vaticano pasará de ser un observador externo a un estado miembro, podría traer un poco de sentido de la parte moral de la historia, la cual a menudo se pierde en la charla'», dijo Jennifer Morgan, directora del programa global para el clima del Instituto de Recursos Mundiales.
Esto podría ser muy significativo. Pero piensen por un momento en las consecuencias de que el Vaticano ingrese a las Naciones Unidas como un miembro con pleno derecho. Ya cuenta con preeminencia global. ¿Esto ahora no le daría una mayor altura? ¿Podrían los líderes mundiales oponerse a la influencia de Roma si ella es ahora un miembro con poder de voto entre ellos? ¿Serían capaces de ignorar su influencia moral sobre el organismo mundial?
En este momento, la ONU es una entidad política secular. Pero una vez se tenga la influencia moral del Papa como un miembro con poder de voto, el único miembro de su tipo, ¿cómo afectaría la toma de decisiones del organismo mundial? Me atrevería a decir que Roma sería puesta esencialmente como reina de la tierra.

Who is Robert Muller? He was a previous Secretary General to the UN and he died in 2010. He was the philosopher, and prophet of hope of the U. N. His underlying philosophy came from Alice A. Bailey founder of the Lucis Trust formerly named The Lucifer Trust. Robert Muller was the Chancellor of the Universtiy for Peace created by the United Nations. Robert Muller’s idolized St. Francis of Assisi.
St. Francis of Assisi- is the patron St. of the United Nations of whom was also the patron saint of Loyola– founder of Jesuit order. Of whom also Georgio Bergoglio is named after: Pope Francis.
The underlying philosophy of the U.N. rests on the philosophy of Alice Bailey, who was co-founder of Lucis Trust, previously called the Lucifer Trust that is a non governmental arm of the United Nations.
