If we look at that statement and take it at it’s face value I think we can all say that we as Christians, being followers of Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit, do not discriminate. That is we do not exclude anyone based on race, disability or even PAST behaviors. David murdered and was involved in an adulterous relationship and because he acknowledged and repented of his sin he was «the apple of…» God’s eye according to the Bible. Jesus loves each and every human being that ever lived or will live and He died to pay for everyone’s sins, David’s, Adolph Hitler’s, mine, yours, and everyone claiming to be LGBTQ etc. He does not discriminate and accept one and reject one provided we do as David did and confess and repent of our sins. If a person wants to be a follower of Christ but wants to hold onto their sinful thoughts or behaviors also, that is where the line is drawn, not by us but by Him. He cannot allow sin to enter His kingdom…again. While he loves each one of us He allows us to choose whom we will serve. Either Him unto righteousness or sin unto death. It’s is not He who «discriminates» or separates, but rather it is each individual who chooses, their sin or his righteousness. Choose life. Blessings.
