segunda, 18 de abril de 2022 at 22:32Seventh day Adventist have long taught the day would come when those who were faithful to God and refused to follow a false system of worship would be ostracised and unable to buy or sell. Revelation 13:11-17. We believe this to involve accepting Sunday (set up by the papacy and accepted by most Protestant churches) in place of God’s holy seventh day Sabbath given in the ten commandments which have never been done away with. To many this has seemed impossible even irrational. Even Seventh day Adventist have wondered at times,especially the enforcing of the no buy no sell unless you have the mark of the beast scenario. Well there have been many changes, over the years, in world politics, community attitudes eg political correctness, wokeism and the evangelical push to make religion the controlling force in politics. These make the events of revelation 13 much more feasible. The advances in technology, the rise of the internet etc now mean that it is becoming more possible by the day to track and penalise people who do not conform. And we are becoming much more used to conforming thanks to covid rules. There is only one way to keep in touch with God’s reality and our thoughts in line with His and that is to yield our lives to Him. He promises never to leave us and he has given us the bible to guide us. ‘This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent’ John 17:39
