When Lot refused the tried to break down the door to get in. The angels, thought to be men, caused those at the door to go blind and led Lot, his wife and daughters out of the city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and destroyed all those wicked cities of the plain. Finally when Lot saw that he was no longer interested in going to a city “a little one” and fled to the mountains.
