El Presidente de EE.UU., Barack Obama, nombró a un sacerdote jesuita como presidente de la Comisión de EE.UU. para la Libertad Religiosa Internacional. Es la primera vez que esta posición estará ocupada por un sacerdote católico. En el 2014, fue nombrado por primera vez como miembro de la Comisión y en el 2016, fue ratificado. Ahora ha sido designado como su líder. La comisión es una entidad independiente y bipartidista que monitorea y revisa las violaciones que ocurren contra la libertad religiosa en todo el mundo y hace recomendaciones políticas a la Secretaría de Estado, el Congreso y el Presidente. La Comisión publica un informe anual basado en las violaciones a la libertad religiosa durante el año anterior. También lleva a cabo audiencias públicas y dirige misiones de investigación para ayudar en sus esfuerzos.
«Me siento honrado de servir como Presidente de la USCIRF y trabajar con mis colegas de la Comisión en apoyo a la libertad de religión o de creencias», dijo Thomas Reese en un comunicado. «Los acontecimientos mundiales ponen de relieve la importancia de este derecho fundamental, un factor clave en muchos de los desafíos de la política exterior de los Estados Unidos. Es la libertad religiosa la que se encuentra bajo un ataque serio y sostenido en gran parte del mundo», agregó.
Reese ha servido como analista superior del National Catholic Reporter y anteriormente como editor jefe de la revista América, una publicación de la orden de los jesuitas. También se ha desempeñado en otros cargos diversos.
La Iglesia Católica ha controlado los debates públicos sobre la libertad religiosa alrededor del mundo, particularmente en lo que respecta a las cuestiones sociales, arrebatando el tema en gran medida de los Adventistas del Séptimo Día, quienes han permanecido en silencio en muchas cuestiones importantes de la libertad religiosa.

The RCC has made known throughout history how she controls conscience and nations. Her main purpose is to regain ascendancy over the civil power in order to rule over the whole world. She detests the first Amendment of the US Constitution and has no desire to uphold religious freedom. Read the Great Controversy chapter on Liberty of Conscience Threatened and her past history.lest we forget!
The Prophecy of Revelation 13 will soon come to pass with the Lamb which speaks like a dragon (USA) is giving her that opportunity.
The US Supreme Court has RCC and Jewish judges only and no longer any Protestants.
We are not ready for what is coming upon the world as an overwhelming surprise.

They are only letting us know so much to keep our attention. Let us dig deeper into the Bible & ask for God to «open our eyes» so we can truly see. If we do we may be ready to go with Him when He returns.
