He appears to be speaking to Catholics but one suspects he has those outside the Catholic church. Whether consciously or not, he is setting the scene for the rejection and persecution of those who choose to follow God’s word rather than the word of man!

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
The Bible calls God’s Law, the 10 Commandments “The Law of Liberty”. Is this the “law of God” the jesuit speaks of? The Bible calls it “Perfect” and it is God’s Law. If one tries to be saved through keeping the law then there’s a problem with that. We don’t keep the law to be saved but we ask God for the ability to keep it because we are saved. The pope would have us keep his churches laws, as determined by him, and disregard the Law of God as revealed in God’s Word. We must obey God rather than men.
