quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 05:29I am wondering if Danilel was to give a speach to his servents in Babilon in Sabbath. Even I don’t like at all the whole president thing with Carson I 2 times more dislike a ministries that just show the mistakes of the people … In my life there was a moments that I also went with my words very off from Sabbath to see in the pages of world magazines. I don’t say I was right with God in this moments, but someone to write an article about sound to me completly sick … I am sorry if someone get offended, but I don’t see the God’s Spirit in this, not at all. To live holly life is not to print a magazines with the mistakes of the others it is stupid, sick and very very unholly thing, and we should not talk and make big public discussions about the mistakes of our brothers even when they are completly wrong. I understaind that in the Bible God’s word say that if there is a sinner, we should show him his mistakes, so that he can live, and not die, and that the prophet Jeremiah say that we have to let all the people know about the sins they are makeing with false worship, and not keeping the sabbath. But here someone let OTHERS know what mistakes his brother 1 person did. Well I am not sure there is a positive Biblical example for that, I see only how the scribes and phariseas was blameing Jesus in every small thing, word and act, that he is breaking the Sabbath, I see only this negative examples where they let the people know how bad was Jesus with keeping the Sabbath, but most of the people went to Him anyway, because they get healing even when some tought He made some mistakes with the Sabbath… If someone proof me that we should share magazines with all mistakes of all our leaders, and more fameous members, and spred in the world, if someone can proof me that this is our mission, than I am open for discussions about this proofs, but if there is no proof, than we have to abonden thoose methods completly! God bless you !

quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 20:13Our mission at KTF is to report and track prophetic events. This necessarily involves things people do or say, including a man like Dr. Carson. It is not about merely showing mistakes of people. We do not intend to judge his motives. Dr. Carson’s actions are a prophetic fulfillment.
But, even if it was our mission to reprove Dr. Carson, we would have ample grounds for justification. After all, he is very public about his Sabbath breaking and other things. Private sins are to be privately reproved, but public sins have to be addressed publicly. Pr. Mayer

sexta, 15 de maio de 2015 at 12:50What is dirty laundry? Airing dirty laundry has to do with exposing internal church issues, conflicts or problems to the public. Dr. Carson is now a public figure with a public record. Our post had nothing to do with church issues. It had to do with a prophetic development related to a particular individual. Based on some of the comments about this post, it seems to us that some SDAs have taken Dr. Carson’s campaign for POTUS as a church matter. We did not address that issue in our prophetic briefing. Dr. Carson is not endorsed for POTUS by the denomination. He is not campaigning on their behalf. He is in the race for his own reasons. Yet, as an SDA, he represents God, and is a witness to the principles for which he stands. It is one thing for an Episcopalian, a Roman Catholic, or an Evangelical to run for the office. They may not have a higher calling.
Here is a very clear prophetic statement that perhaps we should have used in our post. “The Lord would have His people bury political questions. On these themes silence is eloquence. Christ calls upon His followers to come into unity on the pure gospel principles which are plainly revealed in the word of God. We cannot with safety vote for political parties; for we do not know whom we are voting for. We cannot with safety take part in any political schemes. We cannot labor to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty, and to set in operation oppressive measures to lead or compel their fellow men to keep Sunday as the Sabbath. The first day of the week is not a day to be reverenced. It is a spurious sabbath, and the members of the Lord’s family cannot participate with the men who exalt this day, and violate the law of God by trampling upon His Sabbath. The people of God are not to vote to place such men in office; for when they do this, they are partakers with them of the sins which they commit while in office.” Fundamentals of Christian Education, page 475
Dr. Carson has
1. Not buried political questions. He is campaigning on them.
2. He has taken part in a political scheme (the Republican Party).
3. He is laboring to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty. He himself has already said that there should be no “religious or philosophical” exemptions to vaccinations. We do not know what other religious liberty issues are lurking.
4. He has participated with men (and women) who exalt Sunday, on the Sabbath no less.
Politicians often have to prevaricate. They often misrepresent issues or other politicians. The POTUS often has to authorize war and acts of war, killing (i.e. drone assassinations), and sign legislation that sometimes violates the constitution (making him/her a collaborator in the enemy’s plans to destroy it), etc. Its a messy business even for the best of men in our times. One can easily see why God’s messenger to the Remnant wrote the statement above.

segunda, 18 de maio de 2015 at 20:07When oh when will people realise that God is particular and has set down extremely specific guidelines and commands for the Sabbath??!
“If thou turn away thy foot from the Sabbath and from doing THY PLEASURE on MY holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words….
Isn’t that as clear as can be? Ben Carson is not speaking the words of anyone but himself: they are certainly not God’s. He manipulates the Sabbath for his own convenience as if he has privilege over and above God’s law. he does not honour it and substitutes Sunday for it at his convenience…all the while shouting that he is SDA. he is the worst kind of infidel.

domingo, 13 de setembro de 2015 at 03:32You said that your mission is to reply because Dr. Ben Carson is now a public figure. It seems that your mission is to criticize and bring down Dr. Carson. Did you say anything good about his policy for America? Or how the Lord can be using him to let the word out of our church? From your writings it seems as you are jealous of what Dr. Carson is doing (running for President of USA). Indeed, criticizing (gossiping) brother Carson is worst than him not keeping your Sabbath. I don’t believe in the
Sabbath, however, I do believe that brother is trying to do for our country that you, and your criticisms. It’s ok brother Carson, Methodist do support you…

sexta, 22 de maio de 2015 at 15:44The 4th commandment does not tell us not to witness to millions of people on the Sabbath. Dr. Ben Carson is a leader and uses his position as a witness. His principals allows him to let his light shine 7 days a week. I look forward to hearing him on any Sabbath I can. Now, enjoy your Sabbath as your pastor works to bring you his message in your local church and a speech is given to purchase your money for offerings, and announcements are given for the work-bee on Sunday.
admin
sexta, 22 de maio de 2015 at 22:27We agree with this post that some, perhaps many, announcements in church on the Sabbath are completely inappropriate for the holy hours of the Sabbath. However, the one does not justify the other. The inconsistency needs to be resolved in favor of a higher standard in Sabbath keeping, not a lower standard, especially in the age of digital media in which announcements that would be inappropriate on the Sabbath can be made on Facebook, twitter, and even by old-fashioned email. We disagree respectfully, that Dr. Carson can be a witness for the truth while breaking the Sabbath. He is certainly using his position as a witness to something. Seventh-day Adventism is a much more mature understanding in the Bible and Christianity. Lowering that standard by making political speeches on the Sabbath sends the message that it is essentially no different. Pr. Mayer

sexta, 29 de maio de 2015 at 12:31I did not say that I believed that “some, perhaps many, announcements in church on the Sabbath are completely inappropriate for the holy hours of the Sabbath.” I do not find “announcements” to be work. The 4th commandment is my basis for Sabbath keeping, not man’s added rules and regulations. Furthermore, I do not agree that we are ever “in church”. As followers of Jesus Christ, not a denomination, we “are the church.” Christians should read the bible and allow it to interpret itself, and not allow others to decide for them what is correct and what is not. In conclusion, if you believe it is wrong for Dr. Carson to give a speech on Sabbath, why do you continue to offer your services to give speeches on Sabbath? Is your speech somehow better and more holy than Dr. Carson’s? Recently he spoke at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference on a Sabbath. As I listened, I was drawn to the wondrous work of God that was shown through the message he brought to this group. I’m happy to be able to call Dr. Carson a Christian brother and agree with him that our faith in Christ should never be placed under a bushel… No! I’m going to let it shine.

sexta, 24 de julho de 2015 at 09:18I do not know Dr. Carson I only learned through the briefing that He was an Adventist, while reading all the comments I was saddened that we Seventh Day Adventist has been divided on the issue on how to keep the Sabbath. It seemed to me that every Adventist has his or her own interpretation on the Sabbath, that even there are ample of scriptural evidence on how the Sabbath be kept, still we are not one on it.

sábado, 7 de novembro de 2015 at 10:26All this talk about the Sabbath and how wrong it is for Dr. Carson to speak on Sabbath and how if he was president he should not take care of matters and protect our nation. I was not there but I’m pretty sure king David as well as all of God’s faithful kings had to do work on Sabbath and protect his nation. Your enemies do not care about sabbath and will try to attack you whenever they please. That said I do not believe God wants us to just sit there and get killed.
I just do not see how we can hope that all accept the truth, but yet we do not not really want our leaders to since it might hinder their job and then the question “how can an SDA run our country on Sabbath”? comes up. We sure love the freedom we get though from others protecting us right?
I did want to bring up another question about Dr. Carson doing campaign stuff on Sabbath. Don’t we SDA’s have camp meetings and events hotels and convention centers all the time? I have been to so many and every time I see employees from the hotel and convention centers working on Sabbath to make our programs possible. Just look at the GC we just had. So it’s OK to rent out a gigantic building and hire a bunch of staff from the Alamo dome to do our bidding? Is it OK to make others work for SDAs as long as we don’t? All the people that are complaining or questioning Dr Carson were mostly all there. All allowing non believers to work for us.
So why can’t Dr Carson be president and be a shining light to all the world? I think it would be a awsome opportunity for our nation to have a good God fearing moral man in office.
So do we really want to spread the gospel and have as many accept Christ and the whole Bible as the only truth? Or just the ones that are not in politics?

sábado, 7 de novembro de 2015 at 20:13Josh, we’ve been round and round and round about these very issues on this forum. Admin is closing discussion on this item. We simply reported the prophetic point. We did not try to justify our comments one way or the other. We are told that the Sabbath will be lightly regarded, and this was only one example. There are many other examples of this as well, as you have pointed out. The POTUS has to entangle himself in political affairs, which is forbidden in the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. Jesus himself never advocated social change to get the Roman nation to adopt his vision for what it could be. His own example is clear proof that our mission as SDAs is to bring souls to the kingdom. It is a pipe dream to think that an SDA president is going to be a “shining light.” Think about what he has to do. Lie to cover up things that aren’t political savory, collaboration with Rome in its manipulations of the United States, authorize killing of targets, engage in unsavory practices, such as manage the front line of the projects of the elite money managers and warmongers among the global secret societies, just to mention a few. Have you not been paying attention to global politics in the last few decades, or are you to young for that? He will not escape sin as POTUS. One Adventist congressman (now former congressman) told me that often the choice is between to evil options, neither of which are savory.

segunda, 28 de setembro de 2015 at 00:17Does Dr. Carson really want this so much that he’s willing to violate God’s commandments ?! what is he intending to do if he gets elected ?!. He’s moving step by step into the world and will not find it a hard thing to leave the church when the time of trouble comes !. I’m praying for him.

quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 08:56These men who bow to the world, Ben Carson, Ted Wilson… will be passed by and other will proclaim the message! “Thus the message of the third angel will be proclaimed. As the time comes for it to be given with greatest power, the Lord will work through humble instruments, leading the minds of those who consecrate themselves to His service. The laborers will be qualified rather by the unction of His Spirit than by the training of literary institutions. Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. The sins of Babylon will be laid open. The fearful results of enforcing the observances of the church by civil authority, the inroads of spiritualism, the stealthy but rapid progress of the papal power—all will be unmasked. By these solemn warnings the people will be stirred. Thousands upon thousands will listen who have never heard words like these. In amazement they hear the testimony that Babylon is the church, fallen because of her errors and sins, because of her rejection of the truth sent to her from heaven. As the people go to their former teachers with the eager inquiry, Are these things so? the ministers present fables, prophesy smooth things, to soothe their fears and quiet the awakened conscience. But since many refuse to be satisfied with the mere authority of men and demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord,” the popular ministry, like the Pharisees of old, filled with anger as their authority is questioned, will denounce the message as of Satan and stir up the sin-loving multitudes to revile and persecute those who proclaim it. {GC 606.2}
Study present truth about these events!

quinta, 21 de maio de 2015 at 23:26I don’t know who you are, and am not familiar with your ministry(which by your post, speaks of penning careless thiughts). Batching Carson and Wilson doesn’t seem coherent! One is a politician who happens to be a professed SDA…and the other is the democratically, prayerfully elected president of our world church. I guess my question for whoever you are is, do you even know Elder Wilson??? Have seen what he has dealt with in his presidency, how he has been treated and berated…brother we have council on how we speak about the man of God. I hope you spend as much time on your knees praying for him as you do openly criticizing him….

quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 14:04I can’t believe any one is surprised. Anyone who so lightly regards the respect due to the President of the United States (or any other political leader), and does so during a PRAYER breakfast, which is designed as a non-partisan affair, and proceeds to lambast said President, are we surprised he would compromise his ethics elsewhere? When you compare a health care policy you disagree with to slavery, that deep stain which still troubles this nation for tolerating that institution for so long, you might as well compare Obama’s actions to the Holocaust. Oh, that’s right, I believe Carson has compared him to Hitler. Well, having thus so thoroughly sold his soul to the political right, why should his Sabbath keeping be a surprise?

terça, 19 de maio de 2015 at 00:22I can’t answer that.

sábado, 23 de maio de 2015 at 01:40I couldn’t agree with you more, Marcus. The disrespect routinely shown to President Obama by the Right is sad and embarrassing– and they
aren’t they the ones who claim to be the “moral” Christians? While their policies continue to push more into poverty and make the billionaires richer, Cutting funds for education to the bone, scoffing at the imminent catastrophe of global warming– even some have outlawed the very mention of it. refusing to raise the min. wage to one that’s actually livable and then complaining that too many are on food stamps– and of coarse blaming Obama for it. The hypocrisy is staggering.
I always liked and admired Ben Carson– until I heard some of the things he has said since becoming a politician. health care like slavery? I know of people who’s life has been save –literally because of “ObamaCare”
And as far as what the administrator wrote== yes, even quoting White— I have to disagree– I think it’s our DUTY to be involved and VOTE! What laws are made will affect your life or some ones. We have too try and steer things in the best possible direction. So what would you have us do? Sit back and let them steam roller all of us? What about our Religious Liberty group, who work to get laws and protect laws that afford us those liberties? Then they too, should just do nothing and let what ever happens happen? NO! We have to do our best to make this society the best it can be — we know that history is headed to an end I have been an Adventist for many years– but while we are headed there– we must do what we can to make the best laws to help the most people.

sexta, 23 de outubro de 2015 at 20:46You make some interesting comments which I could give many facts that contradict about right vs. left politics and how the economy works. Just ponder this though…if people are dependent on welfare, food stamps etc. from the govt for their food and shelter, how easy will it be for them to give in to the NSL when the time comes and that time is SOON to be here. We need to be dependent on God, not the government.
The main thing I pray you will consider is your
comment about “scoffing at global warming”. Please, please ready the chapter of the Great Controversy “The Impending Conflict” and especially pages 589-590 and you will see that all this climate change agenda was prophecied by God’s messenger as the very thing that satan will use to bring in the Sunday law. Pope Francis’ encyclical and his involvement in the climate change agenda is full of Sunday talk. Revelation tells us that the sea beast which is the papacy and the earth beast which is USA will work together. Do you see how Obama and the Pope are coming together on this climate change agenda? Do you not see the handwriting on the wall that time for decisions about serving God or man are about to be finalized?
Wake up please! We need to be proclaiming the 3 Angela Message with a loud cry.
My political views agree almost entirely with Carson but God’s word trumps politics so the Sabbath is far more important that a political career should be. The good thing is that the news has many articles out that are talking about what SDA beliefs are, including the mark of the beast so while I may not agree with Ben’s decision to campaign on Sabbath, at least his campaign is getting information about the mark of the beast in the public. Sad thing is what example about Sabbath keeping is Ben showing
Besides what KTF is trying to do which they have done a good job of about Carson who is openly and publically putting his political career above the Sabbath, there are some other wonderful present truth pastors who goes very in-depth covering the prophecies we are seeing fulfilled before our very eyes. Go to ProphecyAgainTv on youtube and learn even more.

quinta, 14 de maio de 2015 at 08:48Our mission at KTF is to keep our readers and listeners up to date on fulfilling prophecy, not to express our political opinions. At best, we will only express our prophetic opinion. We leave politics to God. Prophetically speaking however, it would be better to have a constitutionalist as POTUS, since that would prevent further undermining of the US Constitution (a powerful prophetic issue), or at least slow it down. Pr. Mayer

sábado, 23 de maio de 2015 at 01:47NO, not particularly– but we know what is soon coming as Adventist. I am very watchful and evolved in politics..as far as I pay attention and I do vote –always. neither party has 100% of everything I believe –but after watching and listening and reading and fact finding, for years—I have found the Dems to align with my Christian values in almost everything, and I can say the opposite about the Right.
We know the Sunday law is coming — and which party will be fist to implement it– I have my idea -but it probably doesn’t matter– just be ready and try to postpone it as long as possible.

quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 17:19How sad that your go to reference is a discredited prophet. How sad that you are more worried about keeping the Sabbath day than you are joyful about the saving Grace of Jesus Christ. How sad that instead of upholding a Christian candidate for President, you castigate him. Would the SDAs rather have Hillary?
admin
quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 20:09How do you know that we are more worried than joyful? As a representative of the Lord and of the SDA people, Dr. Carson has a responsibility to reflect the truth. Those who truly love Jesus and joy in His salvation are also joyful in the specific light and guidance He gives them through His end-time prophet. What a joyful blessing!!! At KTF we track the prophetic certainties of both the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy. We do not judge people other than in the Biblically appropriate way. “By their fruits ye shall know them.” Pr. domingo, 27 de setembro de 2015 at 19:55We report on prophetic facts. We do not comment about motives. The counsel of the Lord:
“They have no time, wisdom, or strength to spend in taking sides with political parties. Men are being stirred with an intense activity from beneath, and the sons and daughters of God are not to give their influence to this political strife. But what kind of a spirit takes hold upon our people, when those who believe we are now under the third angel’s message, the last message of mercy to the world, brothers in the same faith, appear wearing the badges of opposing political parties, proclaiming opposite sentiments and declaring their divided opinions.” General Conference Daily Bulletin, February 17, 1897
“There is danger, decided danger, for all who shall link themselves up with the political parties of the world. There is fraud on both sides. God has not laid upon any of our people the burden of linking up with either party. We are under Christ’s banner, and every one who names the name of Christ is to depart from all iniquity. Sorrow and trial will come. The faith of every one is being tested. But our Lord is truth, he is love, and his scepter stretcheth over the universe. Surprises await every one. We know not what political crisis will come next. But in regard to the political agitators, the word of the Lord to us is, “Go not ye after them.” True wisdom will not lead us to follow the example of the foolish rich man of the parable. True wisdom is revealed in seeking first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” General Conference Daily Bulletin, February 17, 1897
We cannot labor to please men who will use their influence to repress religious liberty, and to set in operation oppressive measures to lead or compel their fellow men to keep Sunday as the Sabbath.” Fundamentals of Education, page 476
“What are we to do, then? — Let political questions alone. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? and what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?” What can there be in common between these parties? There can be no fellowship, no communion. The word fellowship means participation, partnership. God employs the strongest figures to show that there should be no union between worldly parties and those who are seeking the righteousness of Christ. What communion can there be between light and darkness, truth and unrighteousness? — None whatever. Light represents righteousness; darkness, error, sin, unrighteousness. Christians have come out of darkness into the light. They have put on Christ, and they wear the badge of truth and obedience. They are governed by the elevated and holy principles which Christ expressed in His life. But the world is governed by principles of dishonesty and injustice.” Fundamentals of Education, page 476

sábado, 28 de janeiro de 2017 at 14:58When an SDA becomes a public figure and is compromising the very tenants of His church publically, then we should raise our voices. There is a great deal more compromise going on with Dr. Carson than regarding how he keeps or does not keep the Sabbath. He has said that the earth is millions of years old and tried to interpret Genesis 1:1-2 to do so. One of his spokesmen said that Dr. Carson would not let his religious beliefs get in the way of the law of the land. There is much more but you get the idea. The point is that many bright lights would go out and at this time it appears that Dr. Carson is burning dim

quarta, 13 de maio de 2015 at 19:35Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)

terça, 29 de setembro de 2015 at 01:23Dear Gareth and SDA believers, It is my prayer that we can truly understand what God’s word teaches. I have 2 comments I want to make and may even be erased for expressing my thoughts in love to you. I don’t want to create conflict rather encourage you to ask God to help us understand what his word teaches. Mathew 5 has a reference to “these commandments ” Jesus was not finished at verse 5 but continues to speak. Vs 21 has the mention of tho shalt not kill or murder depending on the translation. Vs 27: thou shalt not commit adultury and vs 33 tells us not to swear. Over and over I looked to see if any of “these commandments” included the 4th commandment and could not find Jesus including the 4th commandment as part of “these commandments ” It is incorrect to say that when the word “commandments ” is used that it means the “ten commandments ” Even if it were would not Ellen G Whites thought on the 4th commandment be against what God’s word says is the greatest commadment? Matthew 22:36-40 says that the greatest commandment of all (speaking of the law and the prohets just as in Mathew 5) is Loving the Lord your God with all your heart….. Ellen has confused so many taking words of out of context. Thus causing division even within the church on what the sabbath really is (a day of rest) and how important it is and if it even applies to all believers today. May God be the one to guide for his word is truth. Jesus is the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through him. Grace and peace to all.

terça, 29 de setembro de 2015 at 10:00The fact that Jesus did not mention the Sabbath commandment in His rendition is evidence that the Sabbath was understood among the Jews. He was not ignoring it. That is just a hook on which to hang doubts. The Sabbath among the Jews was always understood to be important to keep. The Lord was dealing with the last six commandments, except his comment about love to God, which includes all of the first four.
Ellen White was not confused nor confusing. Her counsels have guided the church whenever they were willing to follow the Lord’s will, and sometimes even when they were not. There are many today who try to suggest that she was this or that in order to discredit her role as the Lord’s messenger. How we relate to His prophets determines how we will prosper.
Love to you too, hermano.

Why not direct the people of God to care for this mans soul by upholding him in prayer rather than take on the attributes of the accuser? Perhaps you are right in what you say, perhaps the quoted passage applies to this situation but this does not excuse you to use your influence to sow a spirit of criticism towards Gods people. Will you call fire down from heaven upon him also? Jesus is soon to come in the clouds if heaven. Yes, before that time we will all stand before the judgement seat of God. Isaiah tells us that “He will not judge by the sight of His eyes nor by the hearing of His ears but in righteousness will judge the poor”. Ask yourself this, do I see as God sees? Do I hear as He hears? Who am I to judge another for “with the same measure I mete out, I also will be judged”. If you are a public figure you are also under the same judgement if you use your influence to shake the confidence of people regarding His church leaders.

quinta, 14 de maio de 2015 at 08:46We are not aware that Dr. Carson is a church leader. Please provide evidence. That would complicate his decision to run for POTUS even more. It is true that we must all humbly pray to the Lord for the correction, enlightenment and salvation of our brothers and sisters, especially those in error. The testimony of the Lord is clear. God’s people in these last days are not to be involved in political matters. Therefore we should pray earnestly for Dr. Carson. We’re glad you see this issue clearly. And yes, all our briefings should be calls for prayer. After all, they are designed to reveal the fulfillment of prophecy in our time. Jesus is coming soon. We must be men and women of earnest and persevering prayer. Pr. Mayer

quinta, 14 de maio de 2015 at 09:07In your prophetic news briefing on May 13 about Ben Carson, I wholeheartedly agree with what you say about taking God’s Holy Day the Sabbath lightly. It happens in my on church. There may be another aspect with Ben Carson entering into the political race. I am on the side that it is more than likely not God’s will but he can use situations to bring about his will. There is a quote in Maranatha page 217.
“Our people have been regarded as too insignificant to be worthy of notice, but a change will come. The Christian world is now making movements which will necessarily bring commandment-keeping people into prominence.
The whole world is to be stirred with enmity against Seventh-day Adventists, because they will not yield homage to the papacy, by honoring Sunday, the institution of this antichristian power. It is the purpose of Satan to cause them to be blotted from the earth, in order that his supremacy of the world may not be disputed.
Every position of truth taken by our people will bear the criticism of the greatest minds; the highest of the world’s great men will be brought in contact with truth, and therefore every position we take should be critically examined and tested by the Scriptures. Now we seem to be unnoticed, but this will not always be. Movements are at work to bring us to the front, and if our theories of truth can be picked to pieces by historians or the world’s greatest men, it will be done. We must individually know for ourselves what is truth, and be prepared to give a reason of the hope that we have with meekness and fear, not in a proud, boasting, self-sufficiency, but with the spirit of Christ. We are nearing the time when we shall stand individually alone to answer for our belief. Maranatha, page 217
This is just a thought as we move close to the final events. As Mitt Romany brought the Mormon religion to be looked at so Ben Carson may cause the world to focus on Seventh-day Adventist in what they believe. Whether Ben Carson is representing God’s true church truly or not may not matter but it will cause agitation.
May God’s grace continually be with you Hal.

sábado, 16 de maio de 2015 at 20:35Your comments make sense. God has allowed this person to rise to the front at this time. We are not to judge his sins/faults, only God has that power! We are to take long hard looks at our own souls and make certain that they are right before God—because certainly the question of the Sabbath will now be brought to most of the world as this campaign grows. We need to pray for Dr. Carson, we may not agree with him, but pray for him diligently, that he will become stronger and stand by his convictions in a greater sense, and understand that regardless of our personal opinions, this man will be standing alone and will have to answer to God, not you, and not me! PRAY for him, and PRAY for you and your family because SOON every Sabbath believer will be sorely tested on this issue and SDA’s will be like an open window to the world and each one of us will be tested and scrutinized for errors, faults, mistakes, etc., “He who is without sin shall cast the first stone!” John 8:7. Get ready fellow SDA’s, because your time is coming!

sexta, 23 de outubro de 2015 at 20:54Thank you so much for this Marantha quote. I recently became Religious Liberty leader in our church and I believe it was God’s leading. It has given me an opportunity to hold monthly Bible studies focused on current events that are truly earth’s final prophecies being unfolded.
One article I came across for my last study was by Mother Jones and the headline was “Ben Carson and the Satanic Sabbath Persecution Conspiracy.” It bashes SDA believes but on the bright side, they repeatedly quote directly from the Great Controversy so I have been praying that there will be some who read those quotes and are lead by the Holy Spirit to investigate for themselves and find truth.
Time is about to expire and the NSL is about to be put into place. This Pope is on a mission and is fulfilling prophecy.
God needs a people to stand firm and strong and to not tread lightly on the Sabbath. The government just took down marriage and EGW tells us that marriage and the Sabbath are twin institutions…the other twin is about to have our government try to take it down too.

sexta, 15 de maio de 2015 at 01:56Our hearts rejoice with great happiness, especially because we know that our redemption draws near! These prophetic events are the events that all the children of God in the past history desired to see.
Thank God for KTF Ministries that continue to encourage God’s children to be steadfast in these last days! Keep sounding the trumpet with the purest sound. God’s people will greatly thank you for all this preparation that you helped them to achieve.
It is sad that many people see these prophetic analyses as an attack on people’s motives. More sad it is the fact that people are more inclined to remain silent in the presence of injustice than to reprove wickedness.
The day is approaching when the wrath of God will be poured out without mercy upon those who receive the mark of the beast. And shall we remain quiet about God’s warnings? Shall we not tell the world what causes God’s anger to burst without mercy?
Many people are playing with fire! They do not want to be exhorted and much less reproved by the truth! The Law of God reveals the hidden sins. May we not oppose to the reproof of the Holy Spirit.
More importantly, may we not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness but rather reprove them Ephesians 5:11.
Thank you Pastor Mayer!

sábado, 16 de maio de 2015 at 07:40Amen. God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God is able to turn a bad situation to His glory. Fret not. God will triumph. I was very excited about our SDA Dr. Running for president specifically because I assumed He would serve God fully and reveal the beautiful truth of God’s commandments, including the Sabbath. Now I’m not so sure. If he is being led astray let’s pray he returns to righteousness. I cannot vote for a man that is fickle on God’s matters. I want to thank this ministry for revealing this information to me, now I have more studying to do, more bible verses to read. That will get me closer to God and I will have the wisdom needed to make better choices. God bless all of you and thank you all for your comments. And remember….the Sabbath day to keep it Holy. Happy Sabbath family.

sexta, 15 de maio de 2015 at 05:48To God be the Glory. Thank you KTF for keeping us in the know! Even for those of us who have not received discernment of the “Spirit of Prophecy.” We love our brother carson. Our concern is what is his agenda and where is Christ in it. Jesus Christ Himself never took any office biblically. As a matter of fact, those who accepted His teachings came out of government. We will pray for him, because now is not the time to go against the Word of God; but is a time to be about our Father’s business—In keeping the brethren informed of what is happening around the world and proclaiming the Gospel of Peace along with the “Three Angels Message,” Revelations, while we are still able.
The Scriptures say, “You will know them by their fruits and that some of them will walk with us no more.” This is because they never had the love of the truth. (Paraphrasing)
The test in receiving the mark of the beast will be Sabbath keeping. End time prophecy dictates that the world will be polarized into 2 groups of people during a great deception and test. Those who keep the true Seventh Day Sabbath and those who do not keep it and follow the “mark of the beast” for the false sunday Sabbath. If anyone or SDA is not able to keep the Sabbath during the probation period, then it stands that when the trial comes for choosing worship for God or man; those persons will not be able to stand. Only brethren who keep the Commandments of God and the testimony of Jesus will be able to enter into the kingdom of God.
God’s people have always been blessed with a Prophets and Messengers to warn His people about impending doom or destruction.
Those who are willing to speak of loving their brother or brethren, should love him or them enough to rebuke him or them as Jesus Christ Himself rebuked those who were walking contrary to the Word of God! Any sentiment for breaking the Sabbath Day (the love of Christ compels you) for any reason, only speaks to whosoever’s lack of conviction and is wavering the testimony of Jesus Christ. Are you your brother’s keeper? Do you trust the word of your God? Do you have a worthy venue to keeping fellow SDA brethren updated about the prophetic events being fulfilled? Hmmm!
God is so Good! For He gives us choices to choose what to watch and listen to. Choose not to watch or listen to KTF News, instead of condemning its news, which will prepare you for what is about to come upon the world. One suggestion is to watch propaganda news in the world and comment on why the actual news is not being given.
And it is not about having any other political person running for President of USA, it is about having the faith and trust in Jesus. The Bible is a true historical book. Every jot and tittle has and will come true. So I implore all people to take heed to the warnings of the disciples of God in keeping us updated and fore-warned: Not to panic, but to remember that their is a probationary period which is fast coming upon the children of God.
May the Lord our God have mercy upon us all! Love ya 🙂

sábado, 23 de maio de 2015 at 01:58Why? Is it possible that an Adventist in office may be able to detain a law from being passed a little longer You don’t think that one just may be a positive influence? Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t vote for Carson– he’s already said too many offensive and ridiculous things to me….. but I don’t think it’s “wrong” for him to run is he thinks he can make a positive difference.

sexta, 15 de maio de 2015 at 22:13In Pacific Union Recorder, December 31, 1903, Ellen White shares:
I have been instructed to say that it is not new and fanciful doctrines which the people of God need. They do not need suppositions, which can not be sustained by the Word of God. They need the testimony of men who know the truth, men who understand and obey the charge given to Timothy: “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.” 2 Timothy 4:2-5.
The whole article is very important for these last days.

sábado, 16 de maio de 2015 at 16:36The compromising in regard to God’s Word that Dr. Ben Carson is doing in order to run for POTUS clearly illustrates the truth of Christ’s words spoken in the Sermon on the Mount centuries ago. Our Lord so wisely stated, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” (Matthew 6:24, KJV). Dr. Carson definitely needs our prayers, that he may come to fully serve the Lord Jesus Christ, who declared, shortly before He gave up His victorious life on the cruel cross to save sinners, “My kingdom is not of this world…” (John 18:38, KJV). Let us also, dear friends, pray for ourselves, that we may stand firmly on the Word, unshakeable and unmoveable, in these evil days just before the return of our Redeemer and His holy angels in the clouds of heaven. God indeed can keep us from falling, and present us faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy! (See Jude 24, KJV) Thanks so much, Pastor Mayer, for allowing God to give the trumpet a certain sound through you amid the din and confusion of today! Through the strength of Christ alone is it possible for us to keep the faith!

sábado, 16 de maio de 2015 at 17:03Those criticising the article are not sincere. Some don’t even understand the history of the church. It’s the nominal conversion of Constantine that brought paganism into the church. It seems most of them don’t keep the Sabbath holy themselves. It’s sickening to read a seventh day adventist give comments such as this “How sad that instead of upholding a Christian candidate for President, you castigate him. Would the SDAs rather have Hillary?”
SDAs don’t need favors from anyone. We are led by Jesus n nominal proffesors of our faith, whether they be in white house or wherever, won’t add anything to our faith, they’ll corrupt it. That’s why the article is so relevant, to warn us of leaders who are SDA by name but not by deed that we may not be fooled by the events soon to take place.

domingo, 17 de maio de 2015 at 00:13I see and hear people talking about their work during Sabbath hours pretty much on a weekly basis in the lobby of your average Seventh-day Adventist Church. This is, of course, forbidden in the mistranslated “not doing your own pleasure on My holy day” statement in Isaiah–which more properly translated, say we are not to do our work, plan our work, or speak of our work (secular work, of course) on God’s Sabbath day.
Pointing to Ben Carson’s infraction in this matter seems out of place to me. He is simply doing on a national stage what a great many of those of his particular branch of the Christian faith do on an ongoing basis.
It would seem to me we’ve got some personal house cleaning to do as an American denomination before we begin tearing into him for the sin of being like us.

domingo, 17 de maio de 2015 at 20:15First of all let say, this article was well written and was necessary. All this foolishness about washing linen in public and judging Carson is an attempt by feeble minded so called Adventist to minimize the negative impact Carson is have on our Church and The Three Angels messages of Salvation we are responsible to preach.
There is NO private laundry with God! Jesus IS The Light of the world, so he came to expose sin and wrong doing, not discuss it in darkness or behind close doors. Some of us rather darkness to light and is shows in such a response. Carson IS a Sabbath breaker, and one is not judging him by saying so, we are simply recognizing him by HIS FRUIT. See Matt. 7:16-20 We would never know had he done so privately, but it must be addressed publicly when it is all over the news and there must be a statement of disassociation from him and his ungodly actions.
This guy has placed his own ambitions above the Commandments of God and has absolutely no idea what self denial is. His use of the God given gifts and talents for person gain is appalling and down right disgusting. All good gifts come from above, and are give to us so that we can have INFLUENCE over the wicked for the sole purpose of drawing them to Christ. This fella, by passed Three ABN, Hope Channel, Amazing Facts Network and LLBN where he would have been more than welcomed to promote Christ and The Advent Message, to go to Fox News Network to promote Ben Carson. What will it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul. Carson knows better, he he doesn’t care, his only alligience is to Ben Carson, not Jesus Christ. What a disgrace!!!
The unfortunate thing is after all the, he IS NOT GOING TO WIN A SINGLE DELEGATE IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY. What a loser.

segunda, 18 de maio de 2015 at 12:34I have never been here before, but it is obvious to me that this group is trying to represent the true Adventist spirit of proclaiming God’s truth through the 3 Angels Message. Many on here are either deluded, nominal, or provocateurs i.e. trolls (we see you clearly, and I pray against you in Jesus name!). Any person who tells the world he is and Christian and a Adventist has got to answer to me and every Adventist member because the Bible says we are responsible for are brothers & sisters. We are to hold Christians accountable to Biblical standards. Was it not Paul who publicly rebuked Peter for racism? 1 John 5:15 says if a sin doesn’t lead to death one should pray. However John makes it clear don’t pray for it if it leads to death. Here “open rebuke is better than secret love”. Ben Carson has done untold harm by misrepresenting Christ, Adventistism, & the 3 angels message. It would be better for him to have a huge millstone put around his neck… than to cause one of these little ones to sin. Many who don’t know the truth (untold numbers of lost lambs und babes) see his “do whatever it takes” to win approach to Christianity and the Sabbath consider this as acceptable to God. If the Son of God had to keep God’s Holy Law because the whole world was looking shouldn’t this man who has advertised his Christianity & Adventism to the world be faithful in its representation. I call on his church who has a duty to start the Matthew 18 process to begin it and see it through to disfellowship, if necessary. And, you Nominal Adventist please stop making comments on these sites. It’s embarrassing. It’s obvious you don’t know any scripture. You never quote any accept they be out of context & they start with ‘don’t judge…'” . The world looks at you and the Ben Carson’s of Adventism as indicative of the Remnant Church. You are not. And by the way I am praying for Ben Carson; that he will exit the stage sit down and be taught the “milk” of God’s word by a Godly Shepard.

segunda, 18 de maio de 2015 at 17:37I think it’s great that Ben Carson is doing this. He might not be elected but at least he is putting in the effort… And he is being realistic in saying that the Sabbath would not get in the way of his political duties, because even though it is a day to rest from common labor essential services must go on. The same is true in medicine. You cannot have patients dying in a hospital because healthcare workers don’t want to work on the Sabbath. So I think it is important to be positive towards his work and to give the man a chance.

segunda, 18 de maio de 2015 at 20:12I understand why some adventists, pastors and regular members, are unhappy about Dr. Carson’s move. The church used him to publicize itself. A reknown surgeon, the church used his fame, his books, etc. to make itself known and win more souls. The church praised him, and made him look like a saint, and it wanted to make the world believe that he was blessed and he was a successful surgeon because he was a Sabbath keeper, a Seventh-day Adventist. Now that he has shown publicly what he truely believes, the same church wants to retaliate by telling the world that he is wicked and ant-christ. Not to judge anyone, let Dr. Carson do his business because if he wins the presidency, I know the same people (church) may still use his fame/position to publicize itself.

segunda, 18 de maio de 2015 at 22:50A few more facts:
During the fall of ’14 Carson preached in Australia about his Sabbath travel schedule and how he, at times, attends church on Sunday as a “substitute.” Is there a justifiable SUBSTITUTE? (See the link below – minute 17)
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=ben+carson+youtube+videos+-+church+in+australia&FORM=VIRE4#view=detail&m
Carson’s Facebook campaign page advertised his major fund-raising event for the Carson Foundation in early ’15. Held in a gala hotel ballroom with entertainment by an Emmy-award winning singer, the event occurred on Friday night.
In a May 11, 2015 CNBC interview when specifically asked for his medical opinion, Carson says about Mac ‘n cheese with lobster, “As long as you don’t eat it every day, not problem.”
Politics over principle does not seem to be an isolated incident but rather a pattern.

terça, 19 de maio de 2015 at 10:58So. All the backstabbing comments and name calling (sabbathbreaker) so let’s just nullify his attempts at becoming president. And just say no Adventist or Orthodox Jew can be president. (although we are told anyone can become president if a citizen, in America) let’s get all up in arms if a Mormon, or a Roman Catholic, or God forbid, an atheist be elected, and run to our prayer chambers and plead with God that we are kept safe, and nothing out of the ordinary bad happens.- that we are protected to do His work until the 2nd coming. And that’s ok? We pray that a leader of the free world is guided by the Father above. But don’t let that person be ‘one of our own, God forbid. ‘ he will not survive the primary’s anyway, and won’t have the same money backing that a Romney would bring to the campaign, so we have nothing to fear, all of you who are so uptight about it.

terça, 19 de maio de 2015 at 14:21Many can be mislead by the public actions of men who misrepresent the biblical beliefs of the denomination that they are associated with. Should the disregard for a foundational biblical truth – as the holiness of the Sabbath – be ignored before God?

terça, 19 de maio de 2015 at 17:22I have been wondering how Dr. Carson would handle this kind of thing. And I will say, I haven’t yet made up my mind about him concerning this topic. I had toyed with the idea that on the Sabbath, should he venture out, that he might explain that “this is the Sabbath and consequently he would be answering or speaking from a spiritual tact” rather than as he would speak on one of the other six days – type of thing, And thus, in answering or addressing things, he would really be pursuing an Outreach for God and showing the world how an SDA sees our national problems, etc.
Actually, and maybe I am mistaken, and feel free to correct me, but it seems to me the fact he spoke on the Sabbath isn’t the biblical problem here, but rather, whether or not what he said was appropriate and acceptable to discuss on the Sabbath, while also understanding he is speaking to atheists and non-SDA Christians alike who are looking to see what a SDA believes concerning the issues and topics they are interested in?
Now that would seem to be a tad more tricky to dissect and navigate, as I have heard our own Ministers address some of these problems in various ways on the Sabbath. But maybe they were wrong to do so….you tell me.
So, the question might well be, was what he addressed and how he addressed those topics, Sabbath friendly or not?
I personally thought many things he mentioned would have been acceptable to hear and a few things probably a bit more questionable, but might not have been, had they been approached differently.
But, as I said, for me, the Jury is still out on this, and he seems to be attempting something never before done…perhaps he will work it out so that his approach on the Sabbath is a better representation of the SDA understanding of things…
Under pressure, people make mistakes and misstatements.
So, can a politician keep the Sabbath and speak on the issues of the day? And what would that look like?
For anyone who wants to hear what he said, the speech he made on the Sabbath is here on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WfCtFPmdrY

terça, 19 de maio de 2015 at 21:36Who are you people? Are you Adventist? Are you? No I doubt it. Your here to promote your agendas. Mold peoples opinion by ever so slightly trying to make Adventist feel that our distinct (unbelievably wonderful, God given) message is somewhat less inspired than we have been told by those who came before us. You use insinuation, insults, clever arguments and Hegelian dialectics to try to confuse or befuddle us. We will never bow to your irreverent rants to dissuade us from are mission. Nor will we be moved by those who “went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us”. (1John 2:19). If you don’t believe in Jesus
Christ and the Spirit of Prophecy or you find God ordained church order and rules as passe then become a Buddhist or maybe any number of other religions that fit your extremely liberal mindset. But remember we’ll just keep staying the course living for the King and calling sin sin. When we see folks like Ben go this course we’ll keep the light on, and a prayer going. He can come home but humility comes first.because we don’t need more politicians. We need more radical Christians. Those who will obey God no matter what.

quarta, 20 de maio de 2015 at 02:33I am concerned both about Dr. Carson’s actions, and some of the responses I have read just now. While the attempt is not to judge him, but the Bible does say “by their fruits you shall know them. So in essence, being a fruit picker, is not dissecting his morals. I currently am conducting a revival on the book of Revelation, and this is so appropriate. I would like all Adventist readers to think about what is happening at the end of time. There will be ONLY two classes of people just before Jesus comes, period. Those who serve God, and those who serve the mark of the beast. This mark comes in one of two ways, In the forehead or in the hand. Forehead (for worshipping on Sunday), hand (for working on the Sabbath). It just “appears”, based on this article, that if Dr. Ben Carson doesn’t wake up, he just might see some dirty “marks” on his hands. Though I am not a supporter of Dr. Carson, I wish that he would remember and hold to what Adventist believes. If not, announce himself as a “former” Adventist.

sábado, 23 de maio de 2015 at 19:18Well, well, well. The world of commenting on everything that we know nothing of.. (PLEASE notice present company is included there.. Let me begin by stating that I have always had the utmost respect and appreciation for Pastor Hal Mayer, his ministry of Keep the Faith, and his INFORMATIVE AND EDIFYING prophetic briefings.. We even have mutual acquaintences.. However, I will give reasons for why I can hardly call this a “PROPHETIC briefing”. But first as for Dr. Ben Carson.. Instead of lowering my comments to the rest of the uninformed ones with the exception of skips and a couple of others.. I am deeply disturbed at our lack of going to the word of God for such a huge and obviously controversial subject.. All major prophetic events always have been and always will be exactly that …. CONTROVERSIAL.. Maybe it would do well to remind some that that is why it is called THE GREAT CONTROVERSY!!!. As a ”younger” person I tremble.to see how unprepared we are for “the great shaking” that is getting ready to fall on God’s people and church… which leads us to our current “problem”.. Maybe we need to start asking ourselves as others have alluded to.. I mean we lare acting like kids who have never read their storybooks before… Ever heard of Daniel, Esther, Joseph, David, Solomon?. Will we be so quick to judge how these did or did not properly attend to matters of the state on Sabbath?. Or would someone care to school me on the moral uprightness of two of those major kings who happened to be father and son?. I would like to also comment at how alarmed I am, while we are 1giving the trumpet a certain sound, everyone seems to be to jump to the conclusion that this is absolutely not one who may possibly have been sent for such a time as this!!!. Sure I guess salvation may come from somewhere else.. Let me know where from.. They don’t call him “Gentle Ben” for nothing. For us students of prophecy, as we are nearing seeing the evident destruction of our people, we are looking for moral upright courageous men who are not lafraid to stand and who are RELUCTANTLY standing because no one else will….when America, Gods chosen Israel part 2 falIs, prophecy says the Sunday Law takes the rest of the world with it..Are we willing to wager the whole world on our present belief of what we think is present truth?. On matters as grave as this discretion is the better part of valor.. One last item and I would appreciate and wait for this to post and admins reply… For those of us with the problem of God and serving in politics, please do not use E.G. white to defend not serving.. The aforementioned PROPHETS AND KINGS obviously had God’s support and so did Ellen white when she was the only supporter of those “other two” we so often forget,” Jones + Waggonner when we were facing Sunday Laws the last time.. How slow we are to learn.. Maybe we never will.. But I am praying for Dr. Carson and the united states and its people.. Maybe most importantly the SDA church and ministries like Keep the Faith… so that we actually may….so help us GOD…… Amen

domingo, 24 de maio de 2015 at 18:38We agree that many things in prophecy are controversial. And we agree that there is a woeful lack of bible (and would add SOP) knowledge concerning these things among God’s people. Our prophetic point is found in the original post about lightly regarding the sabbath in the last days. Dr. Carson, by the way, is not the only one that lightly regards the Sabbath these days. Without meaning any disrespect to anyone, just reading the posts to this briefing, it is obvious that there is a woeful lack of understanding concerning true Sabbath keeping, among God’s people.
Please read our responses to other posts. They address a number of your remarks. But one point that has not been made concerning the difference between Daniel, Joseph, Esther, David, Solomon (they were appointed, not elected and did not have to campaign on the Sabbath or any other day) and modern politics is that to our knowledge there is no record that they ever treated the Sabbath lightly on any occasion. By contrast, God confronted Israel when they broke the sabbath. There is a clear record of it. It cannot be assumed that these heroes of the bible ignored sabbath keeping even in matters of state, with perhaps the exception of Solomon during his apostasy (but again that is an assumption and we are not aware of any evidence in scripture). If any of them even once lightly regarded the Sabbath during their appointment to public office, please point it out. We solicit your research skills. Perhaps that would help the bible knowledge of all of us (present company included). While we don’t know the mind of God, we can judge by the fruits (opps sorry, we’ve already made that point).
Jones defended the Sabbath before the US Congress. Waggoner may have been involved on the sidelines (we’d be interested in evidence of Waggoner’s involvement in the Sunday law issue before the US Congress, if you care to invest your research skills again). To our knowledge, neither of them campaigned for public office and lightly regard the Sabbath in doing so (please provide evidence). EGW does encourage involvement in some public issues, “by voice, pen and vote,” but as we have noted in other posts, she clearly opposes being involved in political parties (see our previous posts), but encouraged God’s people to address moral issues, or as we might put it today, Ten Commandment level issues. Of course, it should be obvious to all, based on her counsel concerning Sabbath keeping, that even EGW would not endorse involvement in such things on the Sabbath. We do not accept that EGWs counsel is in opposition to the Bible, which is suggested in your post. It clearly differentiates between these two issues (political office and active public participation in moral issues). Perhaps all of us could gain a lot by becoming familiar with her counsels on voting, politics and the temperance issue. By the way, there is no evidence, as far as we know, that Jones (or Waggoner, if he was involved) lightly regarded the sabbath during that Sunday law era. We would be interested in any evidence that Jones ever addressed Congress on the Sabbath day. Thank you for your prayers. We are not beyond making mistakes. And yes, let us pray for our country, our church (at the present serious crossroads) and our people. Hope to get acquainted personally sometime, if we have not already met. Just so everyone knows, politics is not our thing, prophecy is. And lastly, we’ll keep the enlightening briefings coming. With respect, Pastor Mayer

domingo, 24 de maio de 2015 at 12:09So let me ask you a question… Did you drive to church this past Sabbath? If you did, then you broke the Sabbath according to the law. Did you turn off your electricity this past Sabbath and use a candle instead? If you didn’t, then you probably broke the Sabbath according to the law. Did you put money in the collection plate this path Sabbath? money that will cover the preacher salary… Money, that he would not receive if he did not show up and preach on Sabbath. Of course, according to the Scriptures, this money should be taken up on the first day of the week. Then the typical SDA response is… But we are under grace. I agree. I guess, though, Dr. Carson should not be extended that same grace? The big problem with the SDA church right now, is that we create our own dues and don’ts for Sabbath observance, rather than what the Scriptures say. We’re not even observing the Sabbath ourselves, yet we think we are. The point is, let’s remember the Sabbath, enjoy it and know that Jesus is our true Sabbath and stop pointing fingers.

domingo, 24 de maio de 2015 at 15:42Can anyone prove that Ben Carson spoke lies on the Sabbath? Can anyone say it is sin to promote truth about the status of a nation, what it needs to do to address serious problems from a truly Christian perspective on the Sabbath? Can any of you judge his heart, whether he has weighed these matters heavily within the same or not? Which one of you would not address the problems this nation faces from a godly perspective on the Sabbath? I have done so many times, it is no sin in my book. If an SDA is going to be a politician for the glory of God, and God knows we need more politicians like that, can they really just turn their job off on the Sabbath? No. Some jobs must be performed on the Sabbath and every SDA knows that. May God grant Ben Carson enough stamina and backbone to stand upon his convictions under the weight of the unceasing criticism he will face from all sides during this race.
If any controversy should be discussed here, it should be whether SDA’s should be politicians or not. Not whether one who is should maintain and defend their Christ centered political views on the Sabbath or not. That one is a no brainer.

domingo, 24 de maio de 2015 at 18:29Our point is not related to politics. It is related to prophecy. We do not judge Dr. Carson’s motives. His actions actually fulfill a prophetic statement. Those who choose to judge his motives either way, would be doing something quite different. Frankly, our opinions don’t count with God, who says, “Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.” You are right, we should be discussing whether an SDA should be a politician at all. After all, Jesus, our example, never tried to promote social reform, as many Christians do today. He never attacked the national abuses, as many Christians do today. He stayed completely clear of political entanglements. Moreover, EGW makes it clear that we are to bury political questions and that we are not to be involved in party politics. Since we have already posted on this issue, please read those comments. Admin

domingo, 24 de maio de 2015 at 20:49I gave to say that I am terribly disappointed appointed that Dr. Ben Carson would do business on the Sabbath. That totally changed my thoughts about voting for him. NOTHING is greater than choosing God over ANYTHING of this WORLD. Dr. Carson, I don’t think that your Mother would approve of your choice.

segunda, 25 de maio de 2015 at 10:37Every SDA doctor, nurse, fireman, policeman, and all those in the military have chosen jobs they knew would require them to work on the Sabbath. We know better than to judge and condemn them for doing so. They were and are determined to have jobs related to the service of humanity which cannot be shut down on Sabbath’s. Dr. Carson has chosen to strive for a position of leadership in our nation, which could profoundly effect millions of people. He brings with him a perspective of the Protestant, and therefore biblical principles upon which this nation was founded which are being systematically removed by the ancient foe of the same. Do you really think he has not considered the implications and possible effect of bringing these principles back to the forefront of this nation? Do you not comprehend the countless millions who could be influenced towards truly godly principles of government once again by his leadership in that direction?
I would be very careful in judging this man. It may just be, that having considered these things carefully, he chose what many SDA’s have also, a job which entails working on the Sabbath for the greater service of humanity, which cannot be shut down on the Sabbath. Keep in mind brothers and sisters, that doctor Carson, as a doctor, already made this choice long ago.
Make no mistake about it, the entire issue we are facing again, is separation of church and state, or not. The Mystery of Iniquity always establishes itself through the powers that be of this world, that is the state via human legislation unto coercion. The Mystery of Godliness though, is established through the power of the Holy Spirit of God, by way of personal conviction and conversion. This is an issue which the enemy always blurs to his advantage, and doctor Carson just might be able to effect millions to the contrary. Be careful how you judge him, let alone anyone else.

sexta, 29 de maio de 2015 at 00:55I am careful, prayerfully careful, of what I want to say. First, none of us are God. So I cannot say if God initiated this? Or is Brother C doing this of his own fruition? I don’t know. So I pray for him and pray God will be glorified. No matter if He, or he intiated this, God can use all things to accomplish His purposes. Even mistakes. But again, I don’t know if it’s a mistake or a divine plan.
I ask that we each keep a couple things in mind when looking to the Law and thinking we know whether or not God has done this or is He just allowing this.
God said, do not join yourself to a prostitute; yet, He told Hosea to marry a prostitute. It was for His special purposes.
God said, do not intermarry outside of Israel with pagans. Yet, He had Esther marry a pagan king. It was for His special purposes.
So I ask that we all humble ourselves, pray for our brother. Pray for God to be glorified no mater what is going on.
I’m not drawing any conclusions. I know one thing for sure. God is Lord and He is never taken by surprise and can do good with anything. He saved me.
Now, these statements do not give liberty to break the clear set guidelines He has given us. But to keep in mind His ways are not our ways and we don’t know when He may be making exceptions as with Hosea and Esther. Let’s pray, stay alert, and wait on Him. Amen?

segunda, 17 de agosto de 2015 at 08:29I agree fully with the tone and the substance of the article discussing Ben’s blatant trampling of the Sabbath in the name of freedom, faith, family and apple pie and all that jazz. The fact he is out campaigning for political office on God’s holy Sabbath and even peddling and signing copies of his books purchased at shopping malls on Sabbaths ifs appalling and utterly shocking quite frankly for someone who knows better. Ben is incontrovertibly selling out his soul for the limelight, the attention and for votes. He acts like he must think thst he’s a rock star. If the Sabbath no longer is important enough to keep it holy then why all the fuss about urging people to come out of Babylon including Sunday worship instead of on the Sabbath? Just leave them all where they sit, put a lid on it and let’s close shop. The bible says “He became the author of salvation unto all those who obey him.” If we can violate the Sabbath, then how much stealing, adultery, spreading lies, disobeying parents etc. can we also do and still waltz into heaven per this moral relative thinking or situational ethics thst is so popular today. It’s time to preach the truth and that involves a warning spiritually for Ben also and it be done without fear or favor says the Bible. Wake up Dr. Ben. You were taught better than this, Sir! Earl

quinta, 20 de agosto de 2015 at 09:16Let us not be like the Pharisees who added about 1500 extra laws on the Sabbath and made the Lords Day a burden to the people. They accused Jesus of breaking ‘their’ Sabbath which they had created with had many unnecessary rules. But Jesetcaus showed them how to keep the true Sabbath and also find delight in it.
Keeping a day holy isn’t going to get you to heaven. Nor knowing about Bible prophecy and end time events a guarantee of ginuine faith. It is possible to have little knowledge about prophecy, state of the dead etc and have great faith and in contrast you can have all the knowledge about the Bible and have little faith.
God works in mysterious ways, ways we cannot understand. Let us not be quick to judge someone. Dr Carson is a man of God, he hold Goldy principles and through him many people have come to know about the Seventh day Adventist movement. Whether he becomes president or not I believe he has done what many Pastors have failed to do. He has spoken Highly of God, lives by goldly principles and I believe many people will be converted to the SDA movement because they admire Dr Cason’s principles, his humble character and ultimately his Love for God.
Don’t be like the Pharisees who saw Jesus healing on the Sabbath and they could not rejoice because they failed to see the good that He did but instead plotted to kill because he had ‘broken their Sabbath ‘ so in this case who was more guilty??

sexta, 18 de setembro de 2015 at 19:30Giving a political speech is a clear and blatant breaking of the Sabbath. Unless one is unaware of the clear counsel in the Bible concerning how to keep the Sabbath, there would be no reason to cavil. This is not a debate over whether or not to take a shower on the Sabbath.

sexta, 2 de outubro de 2015 at 10:03I am SDA. I think SOP has been misrepresented on the issue of politics. The sentiment that adventists should not be in politics is putting things too simplistic. EGW was against the involvement in politics of those who serve in SDA churchs and instiutuons. She spoke against the ise of tithe to pay church staff that commented or was involved in politics. It seems she was fine with SDA members being involved in politics. She says “We have no more strength and grace given us than we can wisely appropriate. If God has a work for any of His commandment-keeping people to do in regard to politics, reach
the position and do the work with your arm linked in the arm of Christ.”—Letter 4, 1898, p. 13. She also says “Dear young friends, what is your aim in life? Are you ambitious for education that you may one day have a name and position in the world? Have you thoughts that you dare not express, that you may one day stand upon the summit of intellectual greatness; that you may sit in deliberative and legislative councils, and help to enact laws for the nation? There is nothing wrong in lofty aspirations. You may every one of you make your mark. You should be content with no mean attainments. Aim high, and spare no pains to reach the standard.” Fundamentals of Christian Education p82. The issue is not that we should not be involved in politics, it how we represent God when do. Daniel served with distinction in the government of a kingdom which today is synonymous with wickedness. Did he not know the fate of babylonserved with distinction in the government of a kingdom which today is synonymous with wickedness. Through his service, kings came to know God. Unfortunately, we dismissed Ben Carson as soon he expressed an thought if running. I do not support his breaking of the sabbath, but let us get out thinking right on the issue. Nothing we do or don’t do will assist the fulfilment of scripture.

sexta, 2 de outubro de 2015 at 16:01EGW was supportive of political action in temperance and other moral issues. But her statements against being involved in voting for political parties and connecting with political partyism are rather prescient. You have not taken them all into account. Daniel was not voted in as a political leader. He was appointed. There is a huge difference. He was a statesman, not a politician. There is a huge difference there too. Thanks for your comment. As has been said a number of times before, a POTUS has to misrepresent himself, lie, authorize killings, etc. The office these days, for an SDA, is untenable in maintaining Christian principle. If he is elected, there will be scandals just like with every president. Hate to sound pessimistic, but there are clear reasons why EGW wrote the counsel against being involved in political parties.

terça, 27 de outubro de 2015 at 09:36Sunday is NOT Carson’s sabbath. He’s an Adventist. They use the original sabbath day of Saturday from Judaism, not the later Sunday sabbath adapted by orthodox Christianity.

terça, 27 de outubro de 2015 at 10:33Seventh-day Adventists keep holy the seventh-day Sabbath, which was identified at creation long before there was a Jew or Judaism. Even Pope Francis, most recently in his encyclical on climate change, acknowledges that the seventh-day Sabbath came from creation. “Orthodox Christianity” (not sure what that means) isn’t so orthodox actually. A “Christian” that doesn’t keep the seventh-day Sabbath is not a bible Christian in spite of protests to the contrary. They are following Papal Rome that changed the seventh-day Sabbath to the first day, or Sunday from the 4th century. Let’s be clear and not distort history.

terça, 27 de outubro de 2015 at 11:35In my opinion, Ben shouldn’t have delivered the speech on a Sabbath Day. In fact, I believe it was a wasted opportunity that God provided for the world to know about the Sabbath and start asking questions and digging deeper to understand this forgotten commandmnet of God. If he had not delivered the speech imagine what would have happen, TV channels, Papers, social medias, etc would have read “BEN CARSON DECLINE BLABLA BLA TO OBSERVE SABBATH’…

terça, 27 de outubro de 2015 at 14:37Thank you for the thoughtful analysis.
Anyone who thinks it’s possible to be POTUS and keep the Sabbath is at best unaware of the demands of the job and at worst hopelessly naïve.
But the bigger reality is that careful Sabbath keeping and electability are nearly 100 percent mutually exclusive according to human understanding. While we know with God all things are possible, it’s not realistic to believe a public already skeptical of fundamentalist beliefs would accept a strict Sunday keeper, let alone a strict Sabbath keeper.
