Donald Trump, el candidato republicano a la presidencia ha nombrado a 34 prominentes católicos romanos como asesores de su campaña. Las encuestas muestran que el 57% de los católicos votaría por Hillary Clinton, mientras que sólo el 38% lo haría por Trump. Obviamente, Trump quiere influir en los católicos para que voten por él. Para lograr eso, él está dispuesto a ser aconsejado y guiado por los católicos romanos en el proceso. Sin duda, la influencia católica en la campaña presidencial de Donald Trump aumentará.
La lista de los 34 incluye al senador Rick Santorum (R) quien se postuló para presidente en 2012 y 2016; quien apoyó a Trump cuando Marco Rubio abandonó la carrera.
Otro en la lista es Joseph Cella, fundador del National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, quien al parecer será el principal enlace con la campaña de Trump para asuntos católicos. En particular, Cella firmó una carta llamada «Un Llamado a Nuestros Hermanos Católicos en la cual denunciaba durante las primarias que Trump no era apto para ser presidente de los Estados Unidos. Ahora lo apoya.
La lista también incluye a Tom Monaghan, fundador de Domino’s Pizza y la Universidad Ave Maria; Marjorie Dannenfelser, presidente del grupo anti-aborto La Lista de Susan B. Anthony y con quien Trump escogió ejecutar su coalición Pro-vida. El gobernador de Kansas, Sam Brownback; Matt Schlapp, presidente de la Unión Conservadora Americana; el ex gobernador de Oklahoma, Frank Keating (R); Rep EE.UU. Steve Chabot, (R-Ohio).; Jim Nicholson, ex presidente nacional republicano, secretario de asuntos de los veteranos y embajador en el Vaticano; y el líder conservador de toda la vida, Richard Viguerie.
Matt Schlapp dijo: «Lo que estoy viendo en mi comunidad, con mis amigos, en mi iglesia, es que más y más católicos practicantes, conservadores, republicanos, independientes están despertando al hecho de que él es la elección correcta para presidente».
El católico irlandés Steve Bannon, con licencia de Breitbart.com, está supervisando toda la campaña de Trump mientras Kellyanne Conway, una católica de toda la vida, dirige las operaciones.
Muchos líderes católicos siguen debatiendo si los católicos pueden votar a conciencia por Donald Trump y seguir las pautas de votación establecidas por los obispos de Estados Unidos. Trump está haciendo todo lo posible para ganarlos.

Trump said, “[In] a Trump administration, our Christian heritage will be cherished, protected, defended, like you’ve never seen before.” this may sound good to an ordinary Christian, but to those who understand prophecy and history, it is bad news when state begins to give its power to the church.

What is very interesting, and what I just read by U. Smith and AT Jones that Turkey is the king of the north and they have 50 us nukes and 1500 US military hostages. Turkey is now making alliances with China and Russia. They just said that they do not care what US says. Philippians kicked out our troops and are now joining with China and Russia. Obama is the only president in generations that has kept 1 campaign promise, and that is «he will fundamentally transform US.»

I believe neither of the Candidates are anyone we ought to be voting for. That goes for any election like this. Ellen White said both parties have fraud and that we really do not know who or what it is we are really supporting or voting for.
