Schizophrenia is a pathology of the mind which makes a person incapable to distinguish between reality and fiction.
For example: a person who was once a true practicing Christian may have become morally perverted and still claim to be a Christian. Now, his/her carnal mind (passion, appetite and desire is governing his/her spiritual mind (Intellect, Reason and Conscience) but the person does not realize the change he/she has gone through.
Conclusion:
A reprobate mind is a mind which suffers from schizophrenia.
