Muchos evangélicos cometieron el error de haber hecho un trato con Donald Trump. Él les dijo: “Voten por mí y les voy a permitir elegir los jueces de la Corte Suprema y voy a eliminar la Enmienda Johnson. La “tentadora” oferta del señor Trump es tan notable como otra que fue hecha hace unos dos mil años atrás… cuando el diablo ofreció darle el poder a Jesús para gobernar con justicia y misericordia sobre todos los reinos del mundo si tan solo Cristo se postraba ante él. Los cristianos de los Estados Unidos no debieron haber aceptado la oferta que Jesús rechazó. “Porque ¿qué aprovechará al hombre si ganare todo el mundo, y perdiere su alma?” Marcos 8:36.
Los evangélicos pretenden cambiar el país a través de la política y las cortes. Temen que el cristianismo siga decayendo si la Corte Suprema sigue inclinándose hacia la izquierda y por ello, desean que vuelva a la derecha. Por lo tanto, se han enfocado en las promesas del señor Trump a fin de traer conservadores a la Corte Suprema y así poder moldearla a su gusto.
Pero si las iglesias necesitan de la Corte para salvar almas y ser poderosos testigos, tanto en palabras como en hechos, entonces están totalmente perdidas. Jesús prometió una cruz y el Espíritu Santo, no exenciones de los impuestos ni una corte mundana para defender las creencias cristianas.
Es un disparate que los evangélicos pongan su esperanza para una libertad religiosa en un hombre quien dice que usará el gobierno para darles más poder. ¿Para qué necesitan más poder civil sino es para imponer su voluntad y creencias a otros? ¿No podrían más bien predicar sermones poderosos que cambien las vidas y vivir con poder de tal forma que transformen los corazones así como lo hizo Jesús?
Y ¿de dónde proviene esta idea de ir en contra de la Enmienda Johnson? ¿A quién se le ocurre pensar que es una buena idea permitir a las iglesias que usen sus diezmos y ofrendas libres de impuestos para apoyar candidatos políticos y abrir sus puertas más ampliamente para actividades de proselitismo político? ¿Hay acaso una manera más rápida de convertir la casa de Dios, una casa de oración a una guarida de ladrones?
¿Qué consecuencias traerá esto al testimonio evangélico? La aceptación del acuerdo con Trump, ha puesto sobre la mesa todo lo que son los evangélicos, su herencia espiritual, por un “plato de lentejas”. Sí, así es. Los evangélicos fueron los descendientes espirituales de los grandes reformadores de los Siglos XVI y XVII. Una vez comprometidos con el movimiento ecuménico (ya ellos no portan un mensaje protestante), perdieron su primogenitura espiritual y se hicieron vulnerables a las tentaciones políticas de la presidencia de Trump.
El señor Trump definitivamente no va a salvar la influencia de la iglesia en un mundo cada vez más secular. Siendo un político, lo único que puede hacer es darles más poder político. Él no puede restaurar su influencia moral o la moralidad y decencia cristiana en los Estados Unidos. Esas cosas están totalmente perdidas, excepto en la vida de las almas fieles que viven por encima de las distracciones políticas y a la luz del rostro de Jesús.
Pero la pregunta que por largo tiempo se han estado haciendo los cristianos durante el periodo de decadencia moral es si ellos van a seguir a un hombre fuerte para librarse de la izquierda liberal o mantendrán la fe en Aquel que controla al hombre fuerte a través de la mansedumbre, amor, sacrificio y perdón. El Reino de Dios vendrá de todas maneras, tarde o temprano. No obstante, ¿qué van a contestar los evangélicos cuando el Señor les pregunte sobre quién pusieron su confianza en los últimos días?
No confiéis en los príncipes, ni en hijo de hombre, porque no hay en él salvación. Pues sale su aliento, y vuelve a la tierra; En ese mismo día perecen sus pensamientos”. Salmo 146:3, 5.

Right now he is a tool I the hands of God to right some wrongs done to our country but we know our Lord is in charge and we look only to Him for guidance and mercy. This message gives Mr Trump more power than he has. I don’t think we will see him walk on water any time soon. We see our role as prayer warriors lifting up all our elective officials to The Lord for strength and guidance and keep the evil one from doing them harm. Government won’t save this country. The Christians need to spend more time in prayer and less time analyzing everything they percieve to be wrong with this government.

If we close our eyes and turn our back we are guilty of not upholding Christ. If we say nothing and do nothing it is the same as saying the bad is ok.

I fear you are not keen on what is happening in the world in these last days. i say this kindly. Trump is a tool in the hands of the Jesuits, he was trained in there schools. Whatever he is doing, be assured, it is in their best interest.
Yes God is in control. But this is a prophecy who’s time has come. God will allow and bring these things to completion.

The Lord also uses people who are not of his flock to deliver messages and/or to fulfill prophecies he used the Egyptian Pharaoh and King Nebuchadnezzar as instruments of his will. There are things that I struggle with, I understand prophecies are being fulfilled as foretold by God. What I don’t understand is the silence of christian churches and the justifications for this president’s less than moral actions (as well as former POTUS). Are we to turn our eyes and pretend it’s okay and accept it as everything else; how are people going know if we don’t address the morality of this world’s leaders and churches? In my heart I believe God’s pillars of faith wouldn’t have condoned or made excuses people. Please help me too understand.
