U.S. President-elect Donald Trump released a campaign video to show his support for Roman Catholicism in America. “Catholics are an important part of the America story,” he said. “America has been strengthened by hard-working Catholics. From New York to California the Catholic story is truly unique an its great story.”
Trump appealed to Catholics that are not happy with the Obama administration’s policies on key social issues that have confronted Christian business owners and forced them to make decisions about their role in the marketplace.
“Politicians have been hostile to the church, hostile to Catholics, they have been hostile to the members of Catholicism. My administration will stand side by side with American Catholics to promote the values that we all share as Christians and Americans.”
Donald Trump relied heavily on evangelical and Catholic Christians to propel him to the White House. And while Catholics were not as strongly supportive of Mr. Trump, the evangelicals certainly had a large part to play in his election. He now owes them political support for their agendas.
“When our nation shall so abjure the principles of its government as to enact a Sunday law, Protestantism will in this act join hands with popery; it will be nothing else than giving life to the tyranny which has long been eagerly watching its opportunity to spring again into active despotism.” Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 712.

Monday November 28th, 2016 at 09:52 AMSo much for his evangelical voting base, those who made it possible for him to win. But I guess we can consider them catholics as well. Too many Protestants don’t have a clue as to what Protestantism actually is anyway.

Monday November 28th, 2016 at 09:42 PMHas anyone noticed the trend; that the more the country embraces Roman Catholicism, the more we seem to be on a downward spiral both morally, spiritually, physically , ie… gay marriage, broken education system, illness on the rampage, astronomical debt, civil rights are diminishing …..
