Montag, der 3. August 2020 at 08:19I do not believe even for a moment that Trump will be the one to toss the Constitution. Even in spite of every manner of provocation and artifice by the Democrats to induce Trump to violate his Oath of office, he has not done so. He has been scrupulous in adhering to our nation’s charter.
On the other hand, I am absolutely convinced that if Mike Pence becomes the next GOP nominee, he would ABSOLUTELY do the dirty deed! He has already called himself an „evangelical Catholic“, whatever that may be. And he has never condemned the idea of a church-state union, or conversely affirmed the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment.
However, there are a few other Republicans who could fill be bill. We will see if any of them come to the forefront, or if all of the GOP’s hopes come to rest on Pence.
