They go on about fears of money laundering in government, but the reality is that its annoying to take out cash at an ATM and the only shops that accept cash are low- volume places like the arabic fruit shops. Couterfeiting is at an all-time low. My wallet is my mobile phone and a card.
Its just annoying for making money tax-free. This way the govt gets more taxes cos its easier to keep all the economy visible to the banks. I have just started using Swish.
Swedes are easy to control because they have a high trust in the government that it is benevolent. Australia is so no like that. But you still have to trust your banks in most cases.
