Keeping them locked in a safe place especially if there is someone in the home who may have some type of mental disturbance like depression, anxiety, impulsivity. Getting help for those people is the most important thing we can do to prevent this type of thing from occurring. Social media, video games, Hollywood movies, lack of mental stimulation, poor diet, lack of exercise. These are contributing factors that are way too common in our society these days. Most important of course is a relationship with Jesus.
