Freitag, der 17. Februar 2017 at 22:25One would hope this protection of the conscience would be extended not only to those of the Christian faith,of which I am a part, but to all faiths equally. Unless all have freedom of religion, we do not yet have freedom of religion–but only a favoring of some religious expressions over others.
I think particularly of the Native American Creator worship of the Red Road. While the rest of us were granted freedom of religion with the Bill of Rights, Native American worship was outlawed until the time I was in high school.
Selective protection of religious freedom for some groups, and not others, is not religious freedom at all. It is only the guaranteed dominance of one faith over others.
