Healthcare providers report that some patients are attempting to screen blood donors based on vaccination status, despite longstanding protocols that ensure the safety of the blood supply. Experts emphasize that such requests are not supported by science and may delay urgent care.
“There is no evidence that vaccinated blood is unsafe,” one physician said, noting that all donated blood undergoes rigorous testing before being approved for use.
