Samstag, der 2. November 2024 at 01:12We are living in interesting times. There is a place for lgbt etc people in the church. The people, all people are welcome. The homosexual lifestyle is not. Everyone who enters the church honestly seeking a relationship with Jesus, according to the teachings of the Bible…is welcome. The Bible is our guide and it is rock solid. It does not „evolve“ like this guy’s beliefs. It’s a sad state and I think it tells us, Jesus is coming soon. We need to share this truth with all who will listen.

November 2024 at 10:29Responding to Welby’s statement, Tim Dieppe, Head of Public Policy at the U.K.-based group Christian Concern, wrote in an op-ed, “Welby’s logic is actually completely backwards. It is those with ‘a traditional view’ who belong most firmly within the CofE. They are upholding the doctrine as it has been received and understood.”
Interestingly, rather than basing his response on a “thus saith the Lord” Welby, while appearing to support the Bible, only pointed to tradition and “received” doctrine.
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
