US to Send Openly Gay Delegates to Winter Olympics

In what is being described as “a thumb in the eye” to Russian President Vladimir Putin,” President Barak Obama has appointed two openly gay representatives to the 2014 Winter Olympics to be held in Sochi, Russia. For the first time since 2000, the United States is not sending a president, vice-president, first lady or even a former president to be a part of the opening ceremony. Instead, in a blatant show of contempt for the Russian law prohibiting the promotion of the gay lifestyle, the US is sending former tennis star Billie Jean King and former member of the US women’s hockey team, Caitlin Cahow. Both women are open lesbians.

A third representative from the United States, former medal winning figure skater Brian Boitano, had been noncommittal when asked about his own sexuality, but two days after his appointment has also admitted that he is gay. The United Sates and much of the world are not only tolerating homosexuality, but openly promoting it. Any who speak out against it are labeled as “haters” or “homophobic.” The Canadian Supreme Court has already ruled that distributing literature or publically quoting biblical passages that condemn homosexuality is a “hate crime.” Sweden, Germany and other European countries have similar laws. In 2012, a European court upheld Sweden’s hate speech law. All indications are that the United States is headed in the same direction.

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom.” (1 Cor. 6:8, 9 NKJV) “As it was also in the days of Lot…so it will be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” (Luke 17:28, 30)
