The Vatican and Weapons Manufacturers

The pope has apparently put himself up against the 2nd amendment of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights as well as gun manufacturers and owners.

During a rally of young people in Turin, he put aside his prepared text and in a long rambling talk on war, trust and politics, he said, “If you trust only men, you have lost… It makes me think of… people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit a distrust, doesn’t it?”

In his toughest condemnation of the weapons industry, he criticized those who invest in weapons manufacturers as hypocrites. “Duplicity is the currency of today… they say one thing and do another.”

The pope has been especially hard on weapons manufacturers and dealers in the past, saying in June of last year that they “fabricate death, they are merchants of death and make death into a trade.”

In its 1994 document called, “The International Arms Trade,” the Vatican calls on every nation and state “to impose a strict control on the sale of handguns and small arms. Limiting the purchase of such arms would certainly not infringe on the rights of anyone.”

Well, it would infringe on the constitutional right of U.S. Citizens to own guns. Whatever one may think of that right, it is the 2nd amendment of the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights. Every principle of the U.S. Constitution will be repudiated (See Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 5, page 451). Though it is an easy time for the Vatican to take aim at this particular right (for U.S. citizens), it is nevertheless fulfilling a key prophecy that is necessary for globalization and world religion. In the New World Order, national constitutions and the basic rights of their citizens along with national sovereignty will be brought into compliance with global standards and come under global supranational authorities. Stay tuned. Prophecy is rapidly being fulfilled.
