Qantas Airlines’ New Gender Inclusive Policy

This is interesting as it relates to big business and the gay agenda. Qantas Airlines is run by Alan Joyce, an openly gay man. Mr. Joyce was a strong advocate in Australia for gay marriage.

Now, Qantas employees have been given a list of ‘gender-inappropriate’ words to avoid so they don’t offend passengers or fellow staff members, particularly if they are LGBTQI.

Gender specific vocabulary such as “guys,” “love,” and “honey” are included on the list of words to avoid. It also specifies a preference for “partner” or “spouse” over “husband” and “wife.” Staff are also encouraged to use the word “parents” over “mum and dad” to avoid excluding LGBTQI families. All of this comes as the airline begins its ‘Spirit of Inclusion’ month.

Staff have also been educated about language surrounding Australia’s history. “Describing the arrival of Europeans as a ‘settlement’ is a view of Australian history from the perspective of England rather than Australia,” the assigned information pack says. The words “colonization,” “occupation,” or “invasion” should be used instead.

The information pack also advises against “manterruptions” – when men interrupt and speak over women.

“We have a long and proud history of promoting inclusion among our people, our customers and society, including support of indigenous issues, gender parity in business and marriage equality,” the information pack reads. Not surprisingly, the pack was created by the Diversity Council of Australia.

As big businesses are used to reshape the way people speak and also think, expect that the time will come that if you do not agree with the prevailing sentiment, that you will either have to comply, or lose your job if you work for one of these companies.

But don’t think that it won’t effect the underlying social structure. As more and more businesses and government agencies emphasize this new definition of inclusiveness, those who chose to follow the Bible will find themselves gradually marginalized and excluded in the name of “inclusiveness.”

Now think about this. Qantas is retraining its staff because it does not want to bring reproach or lawsuits onto itself if LGBTQ individuals happened to be offended by the language of its staff. If you were a follower of Christ, you could potentially damage the reputation of this very large company if you did not comply with its inclusiveness policy. Some words may even be legislatively outlawed, making it even more difficult to live a biblical life. Imagine, just one person could bring a lawsuit against a company because it violated its gender-inclusive policy.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12
