Pope Francis says Donald Trump is not a Christian

The U.S. presidential campaign just got more bizarre than ever. Surprisingly, Pope Francis weight in on Donald Trump, the GOP front runner. Though he refused to say whether people should vote for him or not, he accused him of not being a Christian.

“A person who thinks only about building walls… I say only that his man is not a Christian if he has said things like that.” said Francis.

Trump retorted, “For a religious leader to question a person’s faith is disgraceful,” adding, “I am a Christian and proud of it.” Speaking of Mexican government officials, Trump said, “They obviously got to the pope. He doesn’t know me… The pope heard only one side of the story.”

Popes have meddled in U.S. politics for year to press their agenda. Pope Francis’ surprise comment reflects his viewpoint that the borders should be open, in spite of U.S. immigration laws.

Criticizing leaders is a papal way of manipulating them. Whether that was the pope’s intention or not, it adds complexity to the GOP presidential race, and could shape the election. Trump wants to be one of the kings of the earth. He had better be ready to deal with papal politics, should he become U.S. President.

“With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” Revelation 17:2
