Clare Walton de la Sociedad contra el Alzheimer. \u00abSabemos que lo que es bueno para el coraz\u00f3n, es bueno para la cabeza. Por ello, las personas que se mantienen f\u00edsicamente activas durante toda su vida, tienen un menor riesgo de desarrollar demencia.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos estudios recientes, muestran que el ejercicio se est\u00e1 convirtiendo cada vez m\u00e1s en una terapia preventiva contra el Alzheimer. El ejercicio mantiene su mente joven.<\/p>\n<p>Uno de los estudios demostr\u00f3 que las personas que se encuentran en forma, tienen un mejor flujo sangu\u00edneo hacia el cerebro. Otro estudio mostr\u00f3 que los ratones que hac\u00edan ejercicio en las ruedas ten\u00edan tres veces m\u00e1s c\u00e9lulas cerebrales en su hipocampo que los ratones que no ten\u00edan acceso a las ruedas. El hipocampo es el primer lugar donde el Alzheimer causa estragos.<\/p>\n<p>Otro estudio mostr\u00f3 que el ejercicio semanal puede llegar a aumentar hasta en un 2%, el tama\u00f1o de importantes \u00e1reas del cerebro. Esto es muy significativo ya que le resta a\u00f1os a la edad a su cerebro.<\/p>\n<p>La profesora Linda Clare dijo que actividades tales como correr, caminar y andar en bicicleta pueden ayudar al cerebro a mantenerse saludable durante un per\u00edodo de tiempo m\u00e1s largo.<\/p>\n<p>Muchos estudios han demostrado los beneficios que el ejercicio tiene sobre el cerebro. Un largo estudio abarc\u00f3 a 2.000 hombres de Gales por un per\u00edodo de 35 a\u00f1os.
