El estudio, realizado por el Instituto de Resiliencia, hizo seguimiento a 16.000 personas de 250 organizaciones diferentes. El 43,3 % de los encuestados tuvieron altos niveles en cuestiones relacionadas con el cansancio y la fatiga.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl sue\u00f1o y el descanso son vitales para nuestra salud y bienestar\u201d, dijo Stuart Taylor, fundador del Instituto de Resiliencia. \u201cLos problemas en el sue\u00f1o pueden manifestarse de distintas maneras. Por ejemplo, pueden afectarse las capacidades de coordinaci\u00f3n, atenci\u00f3n, toma de decisiones y control de los impulsos. Tambi\u00e9n se incrementa el riesgo cardiovascular,  hipertensi\u00f3n y des\u00f3rdenes del metabolismo tales como la obesidad y la diabetes, adem\u00e1s del incremento de la disfunci\u00f3n del sistema inmunol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n<p>La luz artificial, la calefacci\u00f3n, los electrodom\u00e9sticos y la falta de cantidad adecuada de sue\u00f1o son algunos de los factores que alteran nuestros relojes biol\u00f3gicos. \u00abNuestro ritmo circadiano se compone de un ciclo de 24,5 horas integrado en nuestro n\u00facleo supraquiasm\u00e1tico. Este reloj se encuentra ubicado justo detr\u00e1s de los ojos y est\u00e1 regulado por la luz. De hecho, requiere la luz azul en las primeras horas del d\u00eda para restablecerse de manera eficaz. Cuando nos despertamos,  nuestra temperatura corporal aumenta, se libera cortisol, se eleva la presi\u00f3n arterial, la testosterona alcanza niveles m\u00e1ximos y estamos en alerta de una manera coordinada y eficaz. Durante el d\u00eda, fabricamos adenosina, la cual en altos niveles aumenta nuestra propensi\u00f3n al sue\u00f1o. Cuanto m\u00e1s tiempo estemos alerta, m\u00e1s profundo ser\u00e1 nuestro sue\u00f1o de ondas delta. Despu\u00e9s de las 7 pm, nuestra temperatura corporal baja. A las 9 pm se inicia la  secreci\u00f3n de melatonina la cual nos permite caer en un profundo sue\u00f1o en alg\u00fan momento entre las 10 p.m. y las 2 a.m. La hormona del crecimiento est\u00e1 activa durante esta etapa, facilitando la reparaci\u00f3n celular y el crecimiento adem\u00e1s de mejorar el sistema inmunol\u00f3gico\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>El sue\u00f1o REM es esencial para la memoria y la inteligencia emocional, de acuerdo con Taylor, pero una buena noche de sue\u00f1o tambi\u00e9n rejuvenece nuestras c\u00e9lulas, desarrolla los m\u00fasculos y repara el cerebro.<\/p>\n<p>A continuaci\u00f3n se brindan algunos consejos para una buena noche de sue\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>1.\tHaga el compromiso de tener una hora regular para despertarse.
