El genetista de la Universidad de Hardvard, George Church, ha tenido \u00e9xito en copiar los genes de mamuts congelados y amalgamarlos con un gen de elefante asi\u00e1tico. Esta es la primera vez que los genes de un mamut lanudo han logrado ser funcionales despu\u00e9s que se extinguieran hace unos 4000 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Lo que pudo haber sucedido por el diluvio, es generalmente descartado por los investigadores, quienes no tienen en cuenta la historia b\u00edblica en la cual casi se extingue el planeta.<\/p>\n<p>La investigaci\u00f3n todav\u00eda est\u00e1 en proceso y a\u00fan no ha sido revisada por otros profesionales ni publicada. Sin embargo, este proceso recibe el nombre de \u00abdes-extinci\u00f3n\u00bb y pretende traer de regreso a la vida a animales de especies extintas.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, no esperen que en un corto plazo tengamos mamuts lanudos caminando alrededor de la tierra.
