Sus genes pueden ser activados o desactivados y con ello cambian su manifestaci\u00f3n en otras partes del cuerpo. El ejercicio puede activar algunos genes y hacer que otros sean m\u00e1s pasivos.<\/p>\n<p>Epigen\u00e9tica es el proceso que realiza cambios en los genes sin afectar el ADN a trav\u00e9s de la metilaci\u00f3n. Los grupos metilo se unen a la parte exterior de un gen y los hacen m\u00e1s o menos capaces de recibir y responder a se\u00f1ales bioqu\u00edmicas del cuerpo. La metilaci\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n ocurre al tener distintos patrones de estilo de vida, tales como la dieta y la exposici\u00f3n a los contaminantes, lo cual afecta tambi\u00e9n la manifestaci\u00f3n de los genes, aumentando o disminuyendo el riesgo de contraer enfermedades. Ahora el ejercicio est\u00e1 comenzando a ser mejor entendido.<\/p>\n<p>Incluso una sola sesi\u00f3n de ejercicio puede realizar cambios inmediatos en los patrones de metilaci\u00f3n. Un nuevo estudio realizado en el Instituto Karolinska de Estocolmo revela que cuando se realiza ejercicio de manera regular, se muestran aumentos constantes o cambios en miles de genes de las c\u00e9lulas de los m\u00fasculos. Estos cambios sustanciales en las c\u00e9lulas musculares mejoran el metabolismo de la energ\u00eda, la respuesta a la insulina y la inflamaci\u00f3n dentro de los m\u00fasculos.
