President Obama calls for World Unity after Deadly Attacks

U.S. President Barak Obama called for the world to unite to fight the scourge of terrorism in response to the deadly attacks in Belgium.

“We can and will defeat those who threaten the safety and security of people all around the world,” Obama while in Cuba, saying that the latest carnage in Europe is “yet another reminder that the world must unite.”

“We must be together regardless of nationality or race or faith in fighting against the scourge of terrorism,” he said during an address to the Cuban people.

Obama also call the Prime Minister of Belgium, Charles Michel to offer condolences and personally pledge America’s support.

Other world leaders condemned the attacks. French President François Hollande said the “terrorists struck Brussels but it was Europe that was targeted — and all the world that is concerned.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin offered condolences to Belgian King Philippe and “strongly condemned the barbaric crimes.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also called for global unity saying, “The only way to defeat these terrorists is to join together and fight them together… The chain of attacks from Paris to San Bernardino to Istanbul to the Ivory Coast and now to Brussels, and the daily attacks in Israel — this is one continuous assault on all of us,” he said.

Terrorism conducted by Islamic extremists is a catalyst used to pressure world governments to draw together in ever-closer globalization. Religious extremism creates a reaction pushing religions to unite as well to fight extremism. As religious unity grows, political unity will also increase, eventually creating a global system of governance and worship, just as the Bible predicts in Revelation 13. Terrorism is moving the world toward the final movements before the coming of Christ.
