Lithuania Wonders After…

Pope Francis recently granted a papal audience to the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Algirdas Butkevičius. The two men discussed the “contributions of the Catholic Church in the social and educational fields in Lithuania.” They also discussed “improving awareness of spiritual values.” They also discussed “European matters of mutual interest,” and the need to bring peace to the Middle East.

As is customary, the Prime Minister met with Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State, and Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, Secretary for Relations with States.

“European matters of mutual interest,” sounds innocuous enough. But, no doubt the discussions were aimed at instructing the Lithuanian Prime Minister in the aims of the Papacy in increasing her influence both in Lithuania and in the European Union. The European Union is a project designed to restore the ancient papal patrimony known as the Holy Roman Empire.

“With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” Revelation 17:2
