City Council in Michigan Passes Resolution against Hatred

In the wake of the killing of three Muslim students in North Carolina, the city council of Taylor, Michigan has unanimously passed a measure that is designed to “stand in solidarity with the National Network of Arab American Communities ‘Campaign to take on Hate.’”

“[Taylor] agrees to protect all its citizens and families no matter their religion or ethnicity,” the resolution reads… “As public servants we have an even greater responsibility to speak out against discrimination and hatred because when the unacceptable becomes the norm in our society, human rights for all are threatened. [We will] stand against those who preach hate and incite violence,” it says.

“I think we have to make sure that we continue to remind each other that we support each other and make sure we point out hate when it occurs.” Councilman Alex Garza, who introduced the legislation said. “We’re committing to continuing to take on hate in this country.”

While this resolution doesn’t mention Muslims, it underscores the problem Islamic Jihad has created in western countries. Resolutions, laws and orders made to defend against some unique circumstance often have broader implications that come into play later. Some day soon, perhaps, it will become impossible to explain the truth about the identities of the beast of Revelation and the anti-Christ.

The Detroit City Council recently passed a similar resolution, while other cities such as Chicago and Los Angeles are also expected to consider similar measures.
