Assault on Paris

On Friday the 13th of November, three groups of terrorists assaulted seven places in Paris, France, killing 129 innocent people.

About 9:20pm, during a soccer match between France and Germany outside the Stadium of France (Stade de France), a suicide explosion occurred. French President Francois Hollande was in the stadium watching the game.

Five minutes later, at 9:25pm gunman arrive in a black auto armed with Kalashnikov-style assault rifles and began shooting, killing 15 more people at two restaurants, Le Carillon and Le Petit Cambodge. The two restaurants are very close together. The attackers also seriously wounded 10 others. About 100 shell casings are discovered at the scene.

At 9:30pm the second explosion occurs at the stadium. Four people are killed outside the stadium by the explosions.

At 9:32pm in the 11th district of Paris, gunman arrive in a black auto and five people are killed and eight others seriously wounded outside the bar A La Bonne Biere. Again, about 100 casings are found at the scene.

At 9:36pm another black vehicle arrives carrying attackers to the restaurant La Belle Equipe. Nineteen people are killed, and nine more seriously wounded. Again, about 100 casings are found at the scene.

At 9:40pm a suicide bomber blows himself up inside the restaurant Comptoir Voltaire in the 11th district. Only one person is seriously injured.

At the same time, three attackers armed with assault weapons arrive in a black VW Polo to a sold out concert venue, at the Bataclan. The gunmen enter the theater and start shooting while the U.S. band Eagles of Death Metal was playing. Eighty-nine people are killed, many of them execution-style.

At 9:53 p.m. another explosion near the stadium occurs. No one dies except the suicide bomber.

At about 12:20 a.m. on Saturday morning French elite police units storm the Bataclan more than two hours after the attackers slaughtered the concert’s patrons. The three attackers are either killed by police or by the explosion of their suicide belts. Police find 89 dead and several injured. They also find 15 more people hiding in a small room on the second floor of the theater. They had struggled to keep quiet as gunfire shook the walls. The remaining hostages flee the concert hall at 1:09 a.m.

Authorities report later that four people died on Avenue de la Republique, in the 10th district of Paris.

Some of the places attacked by the terrorists would not be places where a Christian should be. The highly coordinated attack on soft targets reveals that the terrorists had done a good bit of planning. Most French citizens are unarmed, leaving them at the mercy of the terrorists who smuggle high-powered weapons into the country.

“I have been shown that the Spirit of the Lord is being withdrawn from the earth. God’s keeping power will soon be refused to all who continue to disregard His commandments. The reports of fraudulent transactions, murders, and crimes of every kind are coming to us daily. Iniquity is becoming so common a thing that it no longer shocks the senses as it once did.” Last Day Events, page 27
